España, de récord en récord pese a los ‘antiturismo’

🗺 Spain, until August 1, recorded a historic 64 million air visitors. In July alone, there were 11.7 million tourists, a 4.3% increase from last year. British tourists constituted 23% of visitors, with a 4% rise, despite negative press in England. Italian tourists grew by 5%, totaling 1.1 million. Valencia saw an 8% tourism increase, with accommodation prices up 22%. Only German tourist numbers fell due to their economic crisis.

Adiós al ME Madrid: Meliá ya busca relevo en la capital

🏨 Meliá Hotels International ends its operation of ME Madrid in Plaza Santa Ana this August, concluding over 20 years with ME by Meliá. ME Madrid was the first in Spain, expanding later to 10 locations, including recent openings in Malta and Lisbon. Six new hotels are planned for Spain, Mexico, China, and Albania. ME by Meliá aims to return to Madrid soon. Meanwhile, Zel Madrid, a venture with Rafa Nadal, will open on Gran Vía next year.

Vueling refuerza su operativa en Barcelona, Málaga y Santiago

✈ Vueling, starting October 28, will resume flights between Barcelona and Valladolid with three weekly frequencies. During the holiday season, flights are scheduled between Málaga and Zürich (December 3 - January 10) and Santiago de Compostela and Zürich (December 5 - January 9), each with two weekly flights. Vueling extends winter routes to Esauira and Tirana from Barcelona, and Esauira from Sevilla. New international routes from Barcelona to Ljubljana, Agadir, and Strasbourg are also announced.

Personal de Aena homenajea a las víctimas del accidente de Spanair
