🌍 Canarias welcomes tourists amidst rising turismofobia in Baleares. Despite minority protests, tourists in Baleares often question their welcome. Local hoteliers in Mallorca launched gratitude campaigns, yet travelers feel unwelcome due to subtle institutional signals, rising ecotax, and halted promotions. Slogans like "No more in summer" impact perceptions, leading to a poorer high season. Rival destinations capitalize on this by enhancing promotions during crucial booking times, presenting themselves as more welcoming alternatives.

✈ EasyJet plans to narrow the gap with Ryanair and Vueling for summer 2026. From June 15 to September 13, EasyJet will add 6.3 million seats across over 35,500 flights to and from Spanish airports. Overall, they offer 28.7 million seats with over 160,000 flights network-wide. New routes include Barcelona to Geneva and Lisbon, Madrid to Lisbon, Ibiza to Milan, and Palma de Mallorca to Berlin and Geneva.
