🏡 Brach Madrid, part of Evok Collection, opened in a seven-story building constructed between 1919 and 1922 by architect Jerónimo Pedro Mathet Rodríguez. This unique hotel, located in the former Palacio de Masserano—where Víctor Hugo once lived as a child—offers a blend of Spanish cultural heritage and French essence. Brach's restaurant pays tribute to Madrid's grand cafés, combining Mediterranean cuisine with Middle Eastern flavors. The hotel features 57 rooms, including four suites, and 'La Capsule', a 400 m² wellness sanctuary. Nolinski Paris and Brach Paris, the other establishments by Evok Collection, launched in 2016 and 2018, respectively, with Brach Rome slated to open in 2026.

🏖 Gabriel Escarrer Juliá, founder of Meliá Hotels, died at 89 in 2024. Nueva York implemented a short-term rental law in September 2023, causing a 7.4% hotel price increase and a 3.4% rent spike. 🏡 Feelathome, a company specializing in apartment buildings and tourist accommodations, has added its fourth asset in Seville and is planning new openings for 2025. The newly opened Feelathome O'Donnel in Seville's historic heart features 8 tourist apartments, a terrace, and lockers. This follows the summer opening of Feelathome Rivero, with 15 apartments and a communal pool, marking the company's third-largest presence after Barcelona and Madrid. Feelathome currently manages over 20 properties in strategic locations including Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Mallorca, Málaga, and Seville. The expansion is influenced by Sevilla's international tourism appeal and rich cultural and gastronomic offerings.

🏨 B&B Hotels expands in Valencia with an 88-room hotel in Alcàsser, owned by CEP, Eliseo Pla. Located at Carrer dels Pedrapiquers, 4, the new B&B Hotel Valencia Alcàsser offers a buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, complimentary hot drinks, parking, air conditioning, and LCD TV with Chromecast. Members of the B&me loyalty program can enjoy special benefits, including a 50-euro offer for newly opened hotels. The French chain has also recently added B&B Alicante Centro with 99 double and triple rooms. In total, B&B Hotels has 73 properties totaling over 6,500 rooms on the Iberian Peninsula.

🏨 Leonardo Hotels to debut in Valdebebas, Madrid with a new mixed-use project promoted by Arcano Partners and AEDAS Homes, featuring a luxury hotel and aparthotel. Investment: €70 million. Hotel rooms: 215. Aparthotel apartments: 282. Project started on November 12, 2023, completion expected by Q4 2026. This will be the fourth Leonardo Hotel in Madrid and the twentieth in Spain, offering gardens, pools, coworking spaces, and community amenities.

🌅 Sunset Hospitality Group, led by Spanish Antonio González and Lebanese-Canadian Nazih Hafez, will open a new METT Hotel & Residences in Bahrain, offering a five-star hotel experience and luxurious living quarters. With an aim to manage or operate 20 properties by 2026, the Amwaj Beachfront hotel will have 130 rooms and suites, plus over 80 residences, featuring the island's longest private beach, and over 30,000 square meters of green spaces. The partnership with Esterad Amwaj Partners marks a strategic expansion milestone in Bahrain.

🏖 Iberostar Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of Joia Aruba at Eagle Beach, marking their first property in Aruba with 240 suites. CEO Phil McAveety highlights the resort's commitment to excellence, authentic experiences, and sustainable tourism. Joia Aruba features a contemporary coastal style, ocean views from private balconies, jacuzzi terraces, and 24-hour room service. It offers a Real Ocean Front Suite with personalized butler service and exclusive access to the Tierra del Sol 18-hole golf course. The hotel has a hydrotherapy spa area, seven treatment rooms, three restaurants, and four bars. For events, there's a 920-square-meter convention center, which can be divided into five smaller rooms for up to 400 guests.

🏨 Fede Fuster, president of Hosbec and CEO of Climia Hotels, launches a new hotel brand, Lunic by Climia, in Sagunto with investors including footballer David Silva. The hotel, over 9,352 square meters with more than 200 rooms, features a Mediterranean restaurant, gym, event space, coworking area, meeting rooms, bar, and rooftop pool. Set to open after summer 2025, it's designed by Perreta Arquitectura and aims to be a corporate and business hub. Climia Hotels, run by Fuster's third-generation family, rebranded in May during their 70th anniversary.

🏨 Smy Hotels invested €27 million in 2024 for two hotels in Spain and Italy and added one via rental in Italy. In January, Smy Civico Zero in Tarquina, Italy, with 48 pet-friendly rooms, was acquired. June saw Smy Bologna Centrale, a 4-star, 82-room hotel in Bologna, Italy, close to transport hubs. July's purchase was Hotel Vistamar in Portocolom, Spain, with 148 rooms. Renovations worth €6.5 million for two hotels are planned for 2025, with a focus on guest experience and sustainability. The firm's EBIT improved by over 60% in the second half of 2023.
