🏨 Escampa Hotels reopens the three-star Hotel Hostalillo in Tamariu on February 7, increasing its portfolio to six properties, five on the Costa Brava and one in Barcelona. 🏨 Staycity, headquartered in Dublin with a total of 6,000 keys, aims to enter the Spanish market as part of its expansion strategy to reach 20,000 units in the next eight years. Founded in 2004, the aparthotel chain operates 35 establishments across France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and the UK, under two brands: Staycity and premium aparthotel brand Wilde, launched in 2017. Recent acquisitions include a 74.9% stake in Munich-based Grupo Felix, expanding into Leipzig, Dresden, and Vienna. Staycity opened its fourth Wilde brand establishment in September, the 106-room Wilde London Liverpool Street. In 2023, Staycity plans to open new aparthotels in Amsterdam and Cambridge, as well as Wilde properties in Lisbon and Porto, aiming for over 15,000 rooms by 2028. Investors include LaSalle, Union Investment, and Knight Frank Investment Management, with over €3 billion in Spanish hotel sector transactions reported last year.

🏩 Under Ramón Aragonés' leadership, NH Hotel Group became a leading international chain, quickly recovering post-pandemic to cancel a €500 million ICO loan in January 2023, being the first Spanish hotel company to do so. On January 23, 2024, at 13:00, Aragonés will be awarded the Hosteltur Personality of the Year 2024 at FiturtechY. NH's expansion under Aragonés includes buying five Tivoli hotels in Portugal for €133.2 million at the end of 2023 and adding four hotels in Brazil for €212 million in September 2023. 🏨 Investment fund Stoneweg, celebrating its 10-year anniversary, plans to open the 5-star Grand Luxury Kimpton Los Monteros hotel in Marbella this coming February after extensive renovations. Expanding beyond Spain, Stoneweg, through Managing Director Hospitality Miguel Casas, seeks opportunities in Germany and Northern Europe due to market economic conditions and price corrections. With €450 million invested in seven Spanish hotel assets, the focus shifts to leisure segment hotels, particularly in Northern Europe, where corporate travel has not rebounded since 2019. Stoneweg strategizes to turn around poorly performing hotels by injecting capital and repositioning them in the leisure market.

🏠 Limehome partnered with Grupo Clavijo to launch a new project, Limehome Suites Gran Vía in Logroño, expected to welcome guests in summer 2026, adding to their three existing establishments in La Rioja. The property will feature 18 apartments near Gran Vía, the historic center, and calle Laurel. Xulio Rey, Head of Expansion Strategy for Southern Europe at limehome, and Diego Rodríguez, CEO of Grupo Clavijo, emphasize the project's role in Logroño's transformation and local value creation. 🏨 Fergus Group, under Mallorcan entrepreneur Pep Cañellas, announced the acquisition of Palma Beach Hotel, Playa de Palma, set to become the fifth hotel in Mallorca's largest tourist area. It will undergo repositioning to a 4-star superior category, reopening in spring 2026 as Fergus Style Palma Beach. The hotel will feature over 120 rooms, including suites with private jacuzzis and solariums. The group’s portfolio includes Fergus Hotels, tent Hotels, and Affiliated by Fergus, summing up to 18,442 beds. The hotel will operate under Affiliated by Fergus for the 2025 season.

🏖 H10 Hotels unveils H10 Horizons Collection, encompassing three 5-star vacation establishments in Spain: Tenerife's H10 Atlantic Sunset Horizons Collection, Lanzarote's H10 Rubicón Horizons Collection, and Gran Canaria's H10 Playa Meloneras Horizons Collection. These resorts focus on creating memorable experiences under the slogan "Donde empiezan los recuerdos". Each resort features a Despacio Spa Centre, exclusive Privilege areas, dining options, and family or adult-only zones.

🏨 Fergus Group will incorporate a 120-room hotel into its portfolio, the Palma Beach Hotel, to be rebranded as the 4-star superior Fergus Style Palma Beach in 2026. Owned by Mallorcan entrepreneur Pep Cañellas, the hotel will undergo a significant repositioning process and will reopen in spring 2026, joining Fergus Hotels' most exclusive premium line. The Group operates four other hotels in the same area, and with the addition of Palma Beach Hotel, it reaches 30 hotels with a total of 8,182 rooms, 16 of which are in Mallorca, providing 5,152 rooms.

🏕 The new luxury Hotel Aqaba Cabo de Gata, inspired by the film "Lawrence of Arabia," will open this year with 54 rooms and suites. Located in Carboneras' urban center, 500 meters from the beach, 30 minutes from Almería International Airport and future AVE station in Vera. Funded by Andalusian entrepreneurs, the project exceeds a €10 million investment. The hotel emphasizes "slow life," local culture, and eco-friendly practices. Guests can enjoy unique geological tours, rooftop Mediterranean views, and local gastronomy. Architect Antonio Martínez Rodríguez and Arapiles Arquitectos designed the hotel, with Palm Studio handling the interior. Opening is set for December.
