Iberia nutrirá la red de largo radio de Iberojet

🏢 Iberojet has partnered with Iberia to enhance long-haul connectivity from December 20, 2025, linking destinations like Punta Cana, Cancún, and Querétaro to over 20 Spanish and European cities. This agreement, featured on major GDS platforms, offers streamlined travel through Madrid, combining flights with one booking, baggage checked through to the final destination, and flights departing from terminals T1 and T4. The standard fare includes one suitcase.

Aena tiene beneficios récord de más del 30% de las ventas

✈️ Aena, the Spanish airport operator, reported an EBITDA of €2.556 billion, accounting for 60% of its €4.785 billion revenue in the first nine months of the year. Net profits increased by 8.9% to €1.579 billion, over 30% of revenue. Commercial income in Spain rose nearly 11% to €1.466 billion. Passenger traffic hit 247 million, up 3.9%. These figures exclude Luton Airport and operations in Brazil.

Impuesto turístico: sólo era para recaudar

💸 Desde hace varios años, en destinos turísticos como Venecia, Mallorca, y Barcelona, se aplican impuestos turísticos. Aunque estos tributos generan ingresos para las instituciones públicas, no han reducido el volumen de viajeros ni mejorado la gestión administrativa. Las promesas de invertir en promoción y mejoras de infraestructura no se han cumplido. Además, estos impuestos, una vez establecidos, tienden a aumentar fácilmente, sin cumplir su propósito disuasorio ni mejorar el turismo.

Riu: daños de gravedad en uno sus hoteles en Jamaica

🌪 Huracán Melissa, el primer huracán de categoría 5 en Jamaica, ha dejado daños significativos. Riu Hotels & Resorts, con siete establecimientos y 4,274 habitaciones en el país, informó que cinco personas resultaron heridas y están recibiendo atención. El hotel Palace Aquarelle sufrió daños graves. Los equipos de Riu están trabajando intensamente en la gestión de la emergencia, priorizando la seguridad de los huéspedes.

Volotea dispara su capacidad en Madrid: 12 rutas y 240.000 plazas

Viajes del Imserso: plazas libres en circuitos por 305 euros

Meliá firma su primer hotel en Baréin: abrirá en 2027

🛢 Meliá Hotels International is expanding in the Middle East, with its first hotel in Bahrain on Amwaj Island, set to open in 2027.
