Barcelona subirá el IBI a 208 hoteles y a las terminales de cruceros

¿Por qué han bajado las puntuaciones de hoteles en Booking?

📈 Eva Martin-Fuentes, Carles Mateu, and Juan Pedro Mellinas published an article in Tourism and Hospitality Research analyzing Booking.com's rating system changes. Booking.com, owned by Booking Holdings Inc., earned $4.289 billion in 2023. Between late 2019 and early 2020, Booking.com switched from a 2.5-10 to a 1-10 rating scale, and from averaging six aspects to a single global score. This change caused a progressive drop in hotel ratings worldwide, with top-rated hotels seeing a decrease of 0.1 to 0.2 points. Hotels rated around 8 points experienced a 0.3 to 0.6-point drop, while hotels below 6 points lost about 1 point. The study shows a significant impact on hotels with better "facilities" having lesser drops in ratings. Hotel managers are advised to focus on maintaining the quality of their facilities as they are key to guest satisfaction.

Mallorca acoge la III Cumbre de Destinos Sostenibles de ONU Turismo

La alternativa de Mundiplan en Andalucía a los viajes del Imserso

🏖️ Turoperador Mundiplan started selling its senior tourism program on September 12th in all autonomous communities, offering over 100,000 spots, including international destinations for the first time. Los intereses turísticos de Rafa Nadal

🎾 Rafa Nadal invested over 10 million euros in two Mexican hotels in 2013 and later partnered with AMResorts. He co-founded the restaurant chain Tatel with Pau Gasol and Enrique Iglesias in 2015. The Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre was launched in 2018 at TRS Coral Hotel, followed by a second center in Greece in 2019 at the Sani Resort with eight clay courts. In December 2022, Nadal and Meliá Hotels International created Zel Hotels, a 50% joint-ownership luxury brand. Zel currently has two hotels, with plans for more than 20 in five years across Europe, America, the Middle East, and Asia. The brand's expansion includes Zel Punta Cana, Zel Gran Vía, and Zel Sayulita by 2025, and a new location in Albania by summer 2026. Additionally, Nadal's personal project, the Rafa Nadal Sports Centre, offers a comprehensive sporting experience at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.

Atasco gigante de 100.000 turistas en la Gran Muralla China

El sector turístico confía en la IA para avanzar en sostenibilidad
