Reseñas sin texto ¿Cómo afectan a la puntuación del hotel?

  • Automatic
  • 19 October 2024
📝 Juan Pedro Mellinas from the University of Murcia and Verónica Leoni from the University of the Balearic Islands conducted a study analyzing nearly half a million hotel reviews on Booking.com. They discovered that blank reviews score 17% higher than single-word reviews, and positive text reviews increase in rating up to 79 words before the score begins to decrease. The research suggests that guests are more motivated to write reviews after a negative experience. While Booking.com and Google allow rating without a comment, TripAdvisor requires justification for the rating. The study is part of a project funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.

🎄 Christmas market trips are a tradition in the weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year's. Tour operators offer an increasing number of specific programs due to high demand. Most itineraries capitalize on the long weekend during the Constitution and Immaculate Conception holidays, which, despite falling on a Friday and Sunday this year, extend to a four-day break in several regions. These trips, lasting on average 4-5 days, take travelers to festive markets across central European cities, with options for river cruises stopping at markets. Key destinations include Germany, Holland, Belgium, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the Baltic States, Italy, and the UK. Operators like Special Tours, Catai, Mundosenior, Azulmarino, Viajes El Corte Inglés, Nautalia Viajes, and Viajes Carrefour provide a variety of itineraries, with some trips extending up to eight days.

🔒 Spain's travel agencies face challenges due to Real Decreto 933/2021, effective December 2, requiring over fifty personal client data points, including banking and kinship details, for cybersecurity. Agencies, including small and micro-enterprises, must make significant investments in cyber protection measures, and store this data for three years, potentially increasing cybersecurity risks, with the hospitality sector among the most targeted by cybercriminals in 2022 and 2023. Costs for companies include secure data storage, cybersecurity insurance, and forensic analysis following an attack.
