Istanbul experienced a 24.3% increase over 2019 figures, while Sevilla led Spanish cities with a 14% rise. Bed capacity in urban destinations grew by 4.6%, with occupancy averaging 46.8%. CO2 emissions from tourist travel saw a near 12% increase in kg of CO2 per tourist from 2022.
