📈 República Dominicana's tourism set a record in early 2025 with 4.37 million international visitors, a 4% rise from 2024 and 50% more than 2019. Tourism, accounting for 19% of GDP, leads in foreign exchange earnings. Spanish investments dominate, with 45% in hotels. The country has 85,000 hotel rooms, planning for 16,000 more, creating 976,000 jobs. New hotel projects by Meliá and Eurostars are underway, aiming for 12 million tourists in 2025.
