🏨 Habyt debuts its Atipico hotel brand in Madrid near Las Ventas, aiming for expansion in Southern Europe. Habyt plans 1-2 openings annually in Spain, Portugal, Italy, or Greece, expanding its existing 10,000 units in co-living and flex-living.

🏨 Nômade Temple is opening luxury hotels in Spain in spring 2026. Madrid will host the first urban hotel at 11 Gran Vía, featuring gastronomic spaces, a rooftop bar, spa, and gym. Ibiza's Portinatx will see a 188-room hotel emphasizing local materials and the island's bohemian past. Both projects aim for personal transformation and community connection. Nômade Temple is part of Nomade People, a luxury property developer focusing on wellness, art, and community.

🏖 Meliá opened its new Paradisus Fuerteventura on October 16, 2025, in Sotavento, Pájara. Originally built in 1978 and recently revamped with a €32 million investment, the resort includes 363 rooms and four pools. Employment has more than doubled, with staff increasing from 150 to 320. The inauguration featured 200 guests, including Gabriel Escarrer and José Luis Acea. Paradisus also plans future expansions in Bali.

🏡 SmartRental expands to Germany in Berlin with nearly 300 rooms, marking its sixth international location after Portugal, UK, Hungary, and Greece. It operates two brands: SUIO for flex living and SmartRental Collection for tourist apartments. In 2024, revenue hit €67 million, a 91.43% increase. SUIO projects ongoing in Madrid, Athens, and Berlin. New site in Valladolid, Spain, opens in 2027 with 29 studios and 9 apartments.

🏨 Nômade Temple, part of Nomade People, will expand into Europe in spring 2026 with two hotel openings in Spain: one on Madrid's Gran Vía and another in Portinatx, Ibiza. The Gran Vía location, in a historic early 20th-century building, has 93 rooms and will open in March 2026. The Ibiza hotel, featuring 188 rooms, opens in June 2026. Both establishments emphasize cultural connection and well-being, aligning with the brand's transformative hospitality philosophy.

📍 Barceló Hotel Group, with over 300 hotels in 30 countries and 4 million My Barceló members, expands in Asia, including Malaysia, the newest addition. The Richmond Estelar hotel in Kuala Lumpur, opening by late 2028, will feature 199 suites and signature dining experiences. Located in the KLCC - Bukit Bintang area, it promises luxury hospitality, gastronomy, and sustainability, marking a significant milestone in the group’s Malaysian development.

🏨 B&B Hotels expands in Spain with two new openings: B&B Hotel Burgos and B&B Hotel Tarragona Reus, adding 175 rooms. B&B Hotel Burgos, located on Calle Vitoria, 69, is the first in Castilla y León with 90 rooms. B&B Hotel Tarragona Reus, a new build on Carretera de Reus a Tarragona km 4.5, has 85 rooms. The chain now operates 63 hotels in Spain. Both offer breakfast buffets, Pet Friendly policies, early check-in, and late check-out options.

🏨 Barceló Hotel Group's 2023 expansion includes opening Royal Hideaway Corales Villas in Spain, a €70M investment for a 338-room hotel in Paris, their first hotel in Faro, Portugal, and Barceló Nasandhura Malé in the Maldives. They plan 20 new projects annually, with a €500M investment capacity. Upcoming openings include hotels in Morocco, Dubai, and Egypt.
