🏖️ Asturias will boost tourism investment to €46.1 million in 2025, a 13.7% increase from 2024, aiming to enhance rural tourism. Vice President Gimena Llamedo announced this during the department's budget presentation. The region saw a 23.7% visitor increase in the first half of the year compared to pre-pandemic figures, with a goal of becoming a year-round destination. The total department budget is €217.7 million, marking a 6.55% rise. Over €5.7 million will be spent on promotion, with €2 million dedicated to rural stays, €600,000 for discount vouchers in low and mid-seasons, and specific funds to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the La Rectoral hotel.

🏖️ Alicante (44,615) and Málaga (44,365) lead Spain in tourist housing offered through online platforms as of August 2024. Nationwide, almost 400,000 tourist accommodations are available, marking a 16% increase from the previous year. Of the 10.10 million foreign tourists between January-October 2024, 27.5% more chose rental housing over the prior year. Hotel stays by international travelers increased by 8.3%, reaching 55.38 million.
