ICTES entregará los Premios Q el 23 de enero

🏖 The "Premios Q" and special 25th anniversary awards will be presented by the ICTE on January 23 during NocheQ at Palacio de Cibeles, Madrid. Grandes parques temáticos de España y su evolución como hoteleros

🎭 PortAventura World in Tarragona, with 5.5 million visitors in 2023, launched Ponient Hotels, venturing beyond park boundaries into hotel management starting in 2022 with Hotel Vila-Centric. As of early 2024, PortAventura's Ponient Hotels will have 10 establishments, including the upcoming Hotel Ponient Marinada. Together with PortAventura's six themed hotels, they exceed 3,000 rooms, nearly 1,000 belonging to Ponient Hotels, targeting 6,000 in the future. Puy du Fou in Toledo, attracting 1.1 million visitors in 2023, plans three hotels with 500 rooms and a €58 million investment.

Japón logra cifras históricas en 2024, tanto en visitantes como en gasto

🏡 In 2024, Japan saw a record 36.87 million international tourists, surpassing the previous annual record of 31.88 million in 2019. Tourist spending hit a historic high with 8.14 trillion yen (€50 billion), exceeding 2019's 5.31 trillion yen (€33 billion). The top visitor sources included South Korea (8.81 million), China (6.98 million), and Taiwan (6.04 million), with notable growth from the United States and European countries. The government aims to attract 60 million visitors and reach 15 trillion yen (€93 billion) in spending by 2030.

BANDB Hotels abre su segundo hotel en Tarragona

🏨 B&B Hotels opened its second hotel in Tarragona, Valls, marking its 14th in Catalonia. The B&B Hotel Tarragona Valls features 83 double and triple rooms, offering free high-speed Wi-Fi, breakfast buffet, coffee and hot drinks, air conditioning, LCD TV with Chromecast, and indoor and outdoor parking. Lucia Méndez-Bonito, CEO of B&B HOTELS Spain and Portugal, highlights a growth strategy focused on Spain and Portugal, including acquisitions and new developments. The company recently opened its 15th hotel in the Community of Madrid and now has 57 hotels in Spain, 17 in Portugal, exceeding 5,000 rooms, with 20 more hotels under construction.

Escampa Hotels crece en Cataluña con un sexto establecimiento

🏨 Hotel Hostalillo in Tamariu, a three-star establishment with 71 rooms on the Costa Brava, will open under new management by Escampa Hotels on February 7, becoming their sixth establishment. Now open year-round, it's the first hotel in the municipality to remain open during winter. Escampa Hotels, headquartered in Girona, now has five hotels in Costa Brava with a total of 330 rooms and one in Barcelona. The group emphasizes de-seasonalization and creating stable employment, with all hotels to stay open in winter 2025.
