La Feria de Abril impulsa las reservas hoteleras en Sevilla

🎉 During Sevilla's Feria de Abril (5-11 May), hotel average daily rates (ADR) rose 7% from €341 in 2024 to €366 in 2025. Reservation volumes per accommodation grew by 12% year-over-year. Comparing the same period in 2024 and 2025, ADR jumped 42% from €257.5 to €366, and bookings increased by 18.3%. Booking lead times extended from 79.1 days in advance in 2024 to 99.8 days in 2025, a 26.2% rise.

The strongest travel intentions are in Poland (80%), the United Kingdom (79%), the Netherlands (75%), Spain (75%), and Italy (73%). On the contrary, France (65%), Belgium (68%), Austria (69%), Switzerland (69%), and Germany (70%) show less inclination to travel. Destinations considered close and safe are expected to benefit, with a growing interest in quality-price ratio and off-season travel. The report also suggests a possible shift towards domestic and short-distance tourism due to tighter travel budgets and safety concerns, with Spain (6.5%), Italy (6.0%), and France (5.9%) topping the preferred destinations. Fear of a military conflict could influence cautiousness regarding long-distance or out-of-continent travel, reinforcing the trend towards intra-European travel.

Catalonia abre su segundo hotel en Málaga, tras una inversión de 24 M €

🏨 Catalonia Hotels & Resorts opened the 4-star Catalonia Puerta del Mar in Málaga, their second hotel in the city, post a €24 million investment since 2018. It features 74 domotically advanced rooms, a gym, and a gastrobar. Sustainability measures include LED lighting, VRV air conditioning with heat recovery, advanced elevators, thermal insulation, greywater treatment for toilet flushing, and drip irrigation for planters. The hotel chain grows in Andalusia with eight hotels and plans further expansion with an upcoming hotel in Madrid, and a flagship resort in Zanzibar. Recently recognized as Spain's "most welcoming hotel chain" at the Traveller Review Awards 2025 by Booking.com, it also won "Family Business of the Year" in February 2024 and "Los tres Pioneros" in March at the CETT Alimara Awards.

El turista español gasta más pero reserva antes para aprovechar las ofertas

Con más de 55,000 opiniones verificadas, el 98% de los clientes volvería a reservar. Destinos preferidos incluyen Salou, Benidorm, Roquetas de Mar, Barcelona, Madrid y Canarias, con estancias medias de tres noches.

La ocupación hotelera en España alcanza el 68,6% en el primer trimestre de 2025, un 0,8% más que en 2024

🏨 In the first quarter of 2025, the Spanish hotel sector boasted a 68.6% occupancy rate, a 0.8% increase compared to 2024. The average daily rate (ADR) was €139.4, marking a 5% rise, while revenue per available room (RevPAR) climbed by 5.8% to €95.6. Canarias led in occupancy with 84.6%, followed by Málaga (73.2%) and Sevilla (72.5%), the latter growing by 3.3% year-over-year. Conversely, Málaga's occupancy fell by 4.8%. Benidorm and Baleares saw occupancy surge by 17.3% and 9.7%, respectively. Madrid's occupancy nudged up by 0.3%, with ADR and RevPAR jumping by 11.4% and 11.8%. Barcelona's occupancy dipped by 0.5%, but ADR and RevPAR increased by 7.6% and 7.1%. Canarias topped ADR rankings at €171.6, with significant ADR growth in Baleares (13.1%) and Madrid (11.4%). Reposicionamiento de activos, prioridad para grandes hoteleras en expansión

🏨 En el Ranking Hosteltur, solo un tercio de las 124 cadenas hoteleras proporcionaron datos. La inversión en reposicionamiento de activos se duplicó a más de 850 millones de euros, comparado con 434 millones previos. Las adquisiciones también aumentaron de 148 a 177 millones de euros. Barceló Hotel Group destinó 400 millones de euros para el presupuesto, sin especificar la distribución entre compra y reposicionamiento. Room Mate Hotels invirtió 70 millones en compras y más de 12 millones en renovaciones. Minor Hotels Europe & Americas gastó 77 millones de euros en Capex en el primer semestre de 2024. Ona Hotels & Apartments, Grupo Hesperia, Universal Beach Hotels, Blau Hotels, Checkin Hotels y Hoteles Servigroup revelaron inversiones en compra de hoteles que al menos igualan o superan la inversión en reposicionamiento. La inversión total reportada por las 36 cadenas fue de 1.029 millones de euros, con un 82,5% destinado a reformas.
