🌞 60% of people consider climate change, such as heatwaves, droughts, or heavy rains when choosing vacation destinations, as reported by EAE Business School. An 80% admit travel decisions are influenced by the climate crisis, while 20% disagree. Mediterranean temperatures rise 20% faster than the global average, potentially reducing Spain's tourism income by 10%-15% by the 21st century's end. 87% of survey respondents agree that climate is changing rapidly due to human activity, with 71% acknowledging tourism's contribution to climate change. However, 61% show low concern for the environmental impact of their travels, despite 68.3% valuing sustainability and 60% willing to pay more for sustainable tourism services. Yet, only 30% have chosen services based on their sustainability commitment.
