🏖️ Fitur 2025 in Madrid welcomed over 255,000 visitors, 155,000 of which were professionals in the first three days. Fitur 2026 is scheduled for January 21-25, with Mexico as the Partner Country.

🏨 Madrid's stand at Fitur 2025, inspired by the city's plazas, spans 1,848 square meters across two floors. The stand features a Fórmula 1 simulator promoting the upcoming 2026 Spanish Grand Prix and an auditorium with a 6 x 3-meter LED screen seating 150 people. It emphasizes sustainability with a carbon-neutral pledge, using modular metal structures, certified sustainable wood, PVC-free vinyls and adhesives, and LED lighting. Recyclable cardboard furniture and native vegetation, preserved post-event, also underline the stand's commitment to eco-friendly practices.

✈ Ryanair, known for pressuring administrations for low prices, accuses Aena of setting high tariffs at small and medium-sized airports, leading to Ryanair's withdrawal from some small airports in Spain, resulting in the elimination of 800,000 seats. Valladolid airport may lose commercial flights, and Jerez faces a significant reduction. Similar issues affect airports in Polonia, Austria, England, and Wales. Negotiations are sought to find solutions, as the client-provider relationship between Ryanair and Aena deteriorates.

🏕 Extremadura to be featured at the 45th International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur), set for January 22-26 in Madrid, highlighting sustainable tourism under the motto "Extremadura extraordinaria: un destino para el mundo." After a record-breaking year in tourism with significant increases in travelers, overnight stays, and employment, the region promotes its natural and cultural refuge. It boasts three World Heritage Sites, three Biosphere Reserves, nine Blue Flag inland beaches, and 1,500 km of freshwater, making it ideal for birdwatching, astronomy, and water activities. FiturNext will award Extremadura for its Sustainable Gastronomic Routes, and the Directorate-General for Tourism will receive the third prize in the Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality (SICTED). The stand at Ifema will occupy 980 sqm, offering immersive experiences and tastings of local products. Extremadura will also participate in Fitur Woman on January 22 and unveil the Regional Strategy for Internal Tourism to encourage local travel.

🏕 Sevilla will showcase its cultural, heritage, and natural wealth at Fitur 2025, held at IFEMA, Madrid, from January 22-26, under the slogan "Busques lo que busques... Sevilla" to promote sustainable tourism. Javier Fernández and Rodrigo Rodríguez Hans presented the province's diverse tourism strategy, including luxury options like oleotourism and enotourism, aiming to attract premium tourists. 🎭 During Fitur 2025 in Madrid, 83% of 153,000 professional visitors are expected to partake in 232,900 night outings, spending an average of €79.1 per outing, generating an economic impact of €18.4 million. "Fiesta is Madrid" campaign offers 100 entertainment options, celebrating its 11th year, with support from Madrid's local government. The II Edition of the Madrid Nightlife Tourism Guide will be unveiled on January 23 at 18:00.

🏢 The 5th edition of "La Noche del Agente de Viajes" will take place on January 21st, 2025, at the Hotel Eurostars Madrid Tower in Madrid. Organized by Hosteltur and Fundació Mallorca Turisme, the event coincides with the eve of Fitur 2025, starting from its first edition in 2019. The gala dinner begins at 20:30 hrs with each sponsor inviting eight travel agents to their table, capping at ten people per table. A post-dinner party with an open bar kicks off at 23:00 hrs. Attendees can win prizes worth at least €600 from sponsor-donated draws, reinforcing industry relationships in a festive atmosphere.

🏨 Tourism forums at Fitur, considered excessive just as last year, are scheduled prior to the Ifema fair. The important Exceltur forum will not take place this year. Hotusa's forum, noted for high-level air transport panelists, is set for January 20th. Multiple forums, alongside work breakfasts and media engagements, will occur on January 21st, the eve of the fair. The high frequency of such events may dilute their impact, with notably few key hotel leaders participating this year.
