🏨 Ska Group will launch the 3-star Plus hotel brand, Zaria, in December in southern Tenerife. A €5 million investment will transform the first Zaria hotel. 📍 Easyhotel inaugurated a new hotel in Madrid, marking its second venture in the city after a previous establishment near Atocha became non-operational. The hotel, located in San Blas-Canillejas, features 94 rooms. Easyhotel plans to expand in Spain, targeting cities like Sevilla, Córdoba, and Bilbao, aiming for 20-25% of its revenue from this market. With 444 rooms currently operational across five hotels, they are constructing 267 more, with future openings in Barcelona, Valencia, and Alicante by 2026.

🏨 Ilunion Hotels has opened its second hotel in the Balearic Islands, Ilunion Palmanova Mallorca, increasing its total to 32 hotels in Spain. Situated in Calviá, the hotel spans roughly 16,000 m², featuring 256 rooms. Originally built in the 1970s and renovated in 2019, it boasts BREEAM and Biosphere certifications. CEO José Ángel Preciados emphasizes the strategic expansion aligning with the 2024-2027 plan, focusing on sustainable and inclusive hospitality. The hotel is 200 meters from San Maties beach.

🏨 Bypillow is expanding its boutique hotel portfolio, entering Galicia with the Hotel Vigo Plaza. Located in central Vigo, the hotel offers 38 rooms and 76 beds. An investment of €2 million is planned for a full renovation. Galicia saw over 8.2 million visitors in 2024, with 13.6 million overnight stays—a 1.4% increase from the previous year. International tourism accounts for 30% of visitors, with the U.S. and Italy showing notable growth.

🏨 In Gandia's Sanxo Llop business area, a Holiday Inn Express with 105 rooms across three floors is set to open by Senator Hotels & Resorts. The hotel, catering to professionals and families, will feature common areas, gardens, a solarium, a pool, and parking. Presented by Mayor José Manuel Prieto, it's the first hotel in this growth area. Senator aims for 60 hotels by 2029, with a new Hotel Indigo Gandia Beach opening on July 11.

🏨 Accor, a major hotel group, has surpassed 100 hotels in Spain following the May opening of Ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas, with 260 rooms, the largest in Iberia. Recent openings also include Ibis Styles Santander (93 rooms) and Novotel Valencia Lavant (370 rooms). Upcoming projects include ibis budget Madrid Albasanz (99 rooms) and ibis Madrid Norte Las Tablas (148 rooms) in 2023, and greet Alicante by 2025. Karelle Lamouche emphasizes Spain's vast hotel potential and diversity.

🏨 Limehome will open its first 4-star hotel in Barcelona, near the new Camp Nou, within 24 months. The company will exclusively manage the 67-room hotel for over 15 years. Limehome operates in 153 European cities, managing over 10,300 accommodations. The Barcelona project highlights their growth strategy in key cities, aiming to enhance their portfolio with additional services like dining and leisure. Limehome was founded in 2018 and has signed over 450 hotel units.

🏨 Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, led by CEO Phill McAveety and Commercial Director Finn Ackermann, plans ambitious growth with 5-10 new hotels annually in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Spain, the Indian Ocean, and East Africa. The luxury brand "JOIA by Iberostar" launched in Aruba, with future expansions in Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Over the next two years, transformations and new projects are planned, aiming for a portfolio of 7-8 hotels within 3-4 years, while investing in major renovations across regions.

🏨 U-Hoteles expands by adding the Hotel Aduana in Ribadeo, Galicia, a renovated 18th-century building. The U-Hotel Aduana Ribadeo is a 4-star boutique hotel with 27 rooms, a restaurant, event space for up to 60 guests, and an events terrace. U-Hoteles also manages properties in Oviedo, Zaragoza, Astorga, Vigo, and Lugo. The company aims to further grow in Spain and Portugal.

🏨 Iberostar Hotels & Resorts officially inaugurated the Iberostar Selection Es Trenc, a 5-star hotel in Colonia de Sant Jordi, on June 5, 2025. Over 200 attendees, including Miguel Fluxá and Sabina Fluxá, marked the occasion. The hotel, bought in 2022 and transformed from 3 to 5 stars, features 145 sea-view rooms. Maribel Fluxà highlighted the eco-friendly renovation and commitment to local craftsmanship and cuisine, promoting sustainable tourism and employment opportunities.
