🏨 Grupo Salas will introduce the first Holiday Inn Express by IHG Hotels & Resorts in Martorell, Barcelona, completing construction in the second quarter of 2028. The 98-room hotel, situated in La Sínia, will be operated by Hotel Collection International (HCI). La Sínia, a developing area, includes 1,100 homes and a 20,000 m² public park. This collaboration marks HCI's seventh hotel with IHG, expanding their portfolio to 16 hotels and 1,590 rooms.

🏨 Waldorf Astoria, a luxury hotel brand by Hilton, will open in Marbella, Spain, in 2029 at the Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort. With a €220 million investment, it will feature 120 rooms, suites, and 120 branded residences. The project aims for unique experiences, including private chefs and 24/7 customer service. The golf course, over 1 million square meters, will be redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The agreement was signed on November 5 by Hilton's president, Chris Nassetta.

On Wednesday, he attended the reopening of the Hamaca hotel near Santo Domingo airport, with his father and Dominican authorities. The Santo Domingo Bay hotel is the only one managed by the Hidalgo family. Javier does not seek Dominican residency, unlike his father, who has Dominican nationality. The event lacked major local family and hotel industry representatives but featured prominent businessman Manuel Estrella.
