En diciembre, se aliaron con Summum Hotel Group, donde Carolina es presidenta y Javier Vich vicepresidente. BQ Hoteles adquirió el Bahía Cala Ratjada en febrero de 2025. La cartera incluye 13 hoteles de 4 estrellas y uno de 3 estrellas. Se consideran oportunidades en Madrid, pese a su competitivo mercado.

🏖 Meliá Hotels International will integrate Holiday World Resort in Benalmádena, Málaga, by March 2026. The resort comprises three hotels and premium apartments with 864 rooms, owned by Grupo Peñarroya. It features a 29,000 m² Beach Club with nine pools and 11 jacuzzis. Meliá expands to 22 hotels in Málaga. CEO Gabriel Escarrer emphasizes Costa del Sol's strategic importance, while Holiday World President Pepa Peñarroya sees this as a growth milestone.

El complejo, con 864 habitaciones, operará bajo la marca Affiliated by Meliá. Meliá tendrá 22 establecimientos en Málaga. El complejo incluye tres hoteles: Holiday World Polynesia (328 habitaciones), Holiday World Village (360 habitaciones) y Holiday World Riwo (148 habitaciones), además de 28 apartamentos premium. Instalaciones deportivas de 3,600 m² incluirán cuatro pistas de pickleball en 2026.

🏠 Hyatt Hotels Corporation, 2025, sold its real estate portfolio from Playa Hotels & Resorts to Tortuga Resorts for $2 billion. Hyatt retains a $200 million preferred equity in Tortuga and could gain additional $143 million in dividends. The original portfolio had 15 properties in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. Management contracts for 50 years were signed for 13 hotels. BDT & MSD Partners, Berkadia, Latham & Watkins LLP, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP advised the transaction.

📍 La Fonda de los Príncipes reopens on January 5 at Puerta del Sol, Madrid, after 18 months of rehabilitation. Originally opened in 1861, it remains the only hotel in Puerta del Sol continuously operating since the 19th century. 🏘️ All Iron RE I Socimi and Líbere Hospitality Group open a complex of 47 tourist apartments in Seville, purchased in 2021 for €9.8 million. The site, at 18 Albareda Street, offers 170 places and covers 3,758 m². Features include 13 studios, 30 one-bedroom, and 4 two-bedroom apartments, with a BREEAM "Excellent" sustainability rating. 🏨 Fergus Group will integrate Santa Susanna Resort Affiliated by Fergus, a 3-star family-oriented hotel, in Santa Susanna, Barcelona, on January 12. The hotel features 214 rooms, a children's water park, and an all-inclusive plan. It is Fergus's seventh hotel in Catalonia and 35th in Spain. Catalonia, where the group started in 2022, is its second-largest market after the Balearic Islands. Fergus aims to enhance local economic development through this addition.
