El Labranda Suites Costa Adeje cambia de operador tras su venta

🏨 Hovima Hotels, owned by the Konrad family, purchased a hotel asset from Atom for €110 million last year. The Hovima Suites Costa Adeje, a 440-room facility in Tenerife's Costa Adeje near Playa de Fañabé, starts operations under the new management on Thursday. With this addition, the chain now boasts seven properties in Tenerife, offering suites and exclusive services aimed at families, couples, and solo travelers. Hovima Hotels was founded in 1973 by Chilean-origin entrepreneur Kurt Konrad Mayer and is currently managed by Roberto Konrad.

¿Se puede reclamar por el apagón? Estos son los derechos de los pasajeros

⚠ Miles de ciudadanos afectados por un apagón eléctrico en España y otros países europeos indagan sobre posibles compensaciones por inconvenientes causados, como vuelos y trenes cancelados. Según Enrique García de la OCU, sin conocer las causas del apagón, no se puede determinar responsabilidades, y podría ser considerado "fuerza mayor". Las empresas de transporte deben reembolsar o reubicar pasajeros, pero no hay derecho a indemnizaciones, salvo mal manejo de la situación por aerolíneas, que podría conllevar a compensaciones de hasta 600 euros. La OCU y Flightright aconsejan conservar documentación del viaje para reclamaciones.

Cataluña aplaza la subida de la tasa turística por inseguridad jurídica

🏠 Cataluña delayed a tourism tax hike originally set for May 1 due to legal uncertainties, with new rates to apply after parliamentary validation and law processing. The tax is settled semiannually in April and October. The increase, decided in February with Comuns to double the tax, faced pushback from ERC wanting differentiation between Barcelona's tourism and the rest of Cataluña. Since 2012, Cataluña collected €641 million in tourism taxes, Girona contributing nearly €115 million. The hike could raise per night charges up to €5.20, plus a €1.20 municipal fee. The tourism sector represents 12% of Cataluña's GDP and almost 21% in Girona. Transparency on tax revenue spending is demanded, noting only 40% of Catalonian and 25% of Gironian municipalities publish full reports.
