España bate un nuevo récord de turistas con 42,5 millones de visitantes

🏖️ España registró en el primer semestre un récord de 42.5 millones de turistas extranjeros, un 13.3% más que en el mismo período de 2023, con un gasto total de 55,570 millones de euros, un aumento del 20.6%. Solo en junio, llegaron 9.31 millones de visitantes internacionales, un 12.1% más interanual, gastando 12,373 millones de euros (16.6% más). La estancia promedio fue de 4 a 7 noches, con el Reino Unido como principal país de origen. Baleares fue el destino más popular en junio, seguido por Cataluña y Andalucía. Madrid tuvo el mayor crecimiento en llegadas con un 20.4% más. En 2023, España recibió 85.1 millones de turistas internacionales, dejando 108.662 millones de euros.

✈ IAG and Iberia informed the European Commission of their decision to cancel the purchase of Air Europa on Thursday, after reporting a net profit of €905 million for January to June, a 1.7% decrease from €921 million in the same period last year. Iberia, which faces high demands from the Directorate-General for Competition, will pay Globalia a €50 million penalty, after a previous withdrawal in June 2021 that cost them €75 million. IAG's stock rose by 5% on the Spanish stock market following the announcement. Air Europa aims to consolidate its position in the connectivity between Europe and America, based on its Strategic Plan 2024-2026, showing a 6.5% increase in the first semester compared to 2023.

Vivienda turística: claves de la nueva ley valenciana

🏠 In the Comunidad Valenciana, tourism accommodation licenses must be renewed every five years, with municipalities able to limit their use following a new decree law.
