They stress the unnecessary data duplication and disproportionate data requirements, which disadvantage travel agencies competitively and impose technological developments unfeasible for many businesses, potentially threatening their viability and employment.

Por qué se dispara la confianza de los británicos para viajar al extranjero

🏖️ ABTA's Travel Confidence Index shows UK public confidence in international travel at +47, up six points from last year. Travelers booking with professionals scored +72, and package holiday bookings scored +74. Confidence among families and 25-34 year-olds remains strong at +62 and +60 respectively, while a significant increase was noted among 45-54 year-olds with a +16 point rise. However, confidence among those over 65 fell from +33 to +26. The report underscores the need for support in obtaining correct travel documents, with 71% considering it essential. Upcoming EU entry requirements include EES in November and ETIAS in the first half of 2025. The full report will be presented at ABTA's Convention in Greece in October.

Vera Sevilla: un proyecto de 250 M € que incluye un hotel de lujo

🏠 KKH Property Investors will transform Sevilla's former Fábrica de Tabacos into a combined work and leisure space named Vera Sevilla after investing over €250 million. Completion is expected by Fall 2026, featuring a luxury hotel, tertiary and commercial spaces, cultural facilities, neighborhood amenities, and a five-hectare urban park with a 300-meter riverside walk. The Vera building will be a multifunctional space over 12,000 square meters, with additional office and commercial areas exceeding 9,000 square meters. The hotel will include 210 spacious rooms and suites, restaurants, a gym, a pool, and a 600 square-meter event room. The purchase of the factory was completed in 2023, with the first phases of construction slated to finish by late 2025, and the entire project by the second half of 2026, designed by Carlos Ferrater and Kengo Kuma.

deLuna inicia las obras de su hotel en el Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla  

🏨 deLuna Hotels announced the start of construction for Gran Hotel Luna de Cádiz at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, set to open in December 2025. The 4-star hotel will have 240 rooms, exclusive spaces, spa, gym, pools, and a buffet. Architect Jose Antonio Albarrán Bailén designed the 17,484.20 m² project, with a 15-month construction timeframe. A public tender by Cádiz's council in 2022 allowed deLuna Hotels to acquire part of the stadium for €25 million. The hotel chain, expanding beyond Granada for the first time, has partnered with the Instituto de Fomento, Empleo y Formación (IFEF) for a training program, guaranteeing jobs for at least 65% of its 45 participants, equating to 29 full-time permanent positions.

Los hoteles del Imserso disponibles en la costa insular

🏖 Imserso's Social Tourism program for the 2024-2025 season has expanded its hotel offerings to 203 establishments. Commercialization started on September 23, 2024, with a reservation system based on accreditation letters sent since August 28, 2024. The program features 55 hotels across the Canary and Balearic Islands—30 in Canarias and 25 in Baleares. There are 55 hotels in Catalonia, 48 in the Valencian Community, 38 in Andalusia, and 7 in the Region of Murcia available for senior tourists. Reservations are time-gated, beginning at 09:00 on the date specified on the accreditation letter, catering first to preferential acreditados.
