🌴 Baleares' tourist rentals surged by 35% in the first half of the year, while hotels saw a 4% decline, as reported by Ibestat. Mallorca experienced a 40% rise in tourist rentals from January to June, attracting 600,000 tourists. Despite this, only 32 new hotels are projected for the next three years, trailing behind regions like Galicia and Andalucía. Since 2015, 90,000 homes switched to tourist use, bolstered by recent regional regulations.

La estancia media disminuyó a 3,15 días; la antelación media de reservas cayó a 94,31 días. En el norte, reservas subieron un 9,19% y ADR un 6,54% (269,24 €). Canarias creció un 4,72% en reservas; Baleares cayó un 5,03%. Septiembre se espera dinámico, con un aumento del 3,72% en reservas.

💸 Many retirees may miss out on spots in the Imserso travel program for the 2025-2026 season due to reduced availability and increased demand. The current offering is 879,213 spots, down 7,056 from the previous year's 886,269. In the previous campaign, 87.47% of applicants in the Balearic Islands did not secure a spot. Aviba reports demand rose 10-15% last year, and calls for expanding the program to meet growing interest among retirees.

London's Heathrow had 954 cancellations, 29,527 delays, and a 1.54% cancellation rate. Múnich saw 877 cancellations and 21,040 delays. Schiphol and Charles de Gaulle also faced significant issues. In Spain, Palma de Mallorca topped with 407 cancellations, followed by Barcelona-El Prat with 360. Madrid-Barajas had the most delays at 17,997.

Se invertirán 7,800 millones de euros, con 5,300 millones para hoteles de 4 y 5 estrellas. En 2024, se abrirán 152 establecimientos. La nueva oferta añadirá un 4.7% en hoteles y un 5.8% en habitaciones al parque actual. El 59% de nuevas habitaciones proviene de nuevos proyectos.

Ibiza has just 25 rooms left, with rates at €420/night. Prices in San Sebastián and Palma de Mallorca are €320/night, and €290 in Marbella. Barcelona and Madrid have lower occupancy and rates, at €180 and €95/night, respectively. High demand is driving up prices despite a slowing trend.

Meliá sees over 900,000 users, a 13% increase. Riu's audience grows 45%, nearing 700,000 monthly users.
