✈️ Nuño de la Rosa left Air Europa after serving as CEO for 3 years and 4 months. He joined in July 2022, replacing Valentín Lago. His contract was due to end on June 23, 2027, aligning with the deadline to repay a €475 million state aid. Under his leadership, Air Europa achieved record profits, potentially doubling from €64 million to over €120 million, and struck a key partnership with Turkish Airlines.

✈ Juan José Hidalgo, at 84, will control Air Europa after Jesús Nuño de la Rosa departs on November 30. Richard Clark will lead daily operations. SEPI representatives César Hernández Blanco and Juan Manuel Bujía have resigned. A 300 million euro investment by Turkish Airlines, acquiring 26% of Air Europa, enabled the early repayment of a 475 million euro SEPI loan. This consolidates Hidalgo’s executive power over the airline.

Changes follow Nuño de la Rosa’s service since July 2022. The board will soon be renewed.
