Almost 900,000 places are divided into three lots: 50.1% for coastal trips (443,887 spots), 25.9% for island coasts (230,039 spots), and 23.9% for getaway tourism (212,343 spots). Accredited persons can undertake up to five trips per season and manage a maximum of 30 reservation processes. Prices range from €124.68 for a 4-day trip to provincial capitals to €435 for a 10-day trip in the Canary Islands with transport included.

Meanwhile, Belgium's Charleroi Airport cancels all flights for 24 hours due to a strike, impacting Ryanair and Wizzair operations. Mundiplan launches its senior tourism program for Autumn-Winter 2024-2025 with 39 hotels across Andalusia, Baleares, Canarias, Catalonia, and the Valencian Community, bookable from October to June next year.

🏖 Mundiplan, comprising Iberia, IAG7, and Alsa, launches its 2024/2025 season sales on September 12, 2024, offering over 100,000 spots for 55+ travelers to destinations like Baleares, Canarias, Andalucía, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Europe, Africa, Americas, and Asia. Domestic trips start at 160 euros, Baleares and Canarias packages at 449 euros, and international trips from 935 euros. Sales start 11 days before Imserso's program on September 23.

✈️ Iberia Express launches a special campaign allowing flights from October 1, 2023, to May 31, 2025. The Express Days promotion, valid until September 23, offers reduced prices across their network. Fares start from 15 euros to Ibiza, 20 to Mallorca, 27 to Tenerife, 31 to Gran Canaria and La Palma, and 35 to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. International flights to London begin at 32 euros, Dublin and Amsterdam from 33, and Marrakech from 42 euros. Club Express membership, which is free, is required to access deals, already counting approximately 2.4 million active customers.

🏖 Ávoris, led by Juan Carlos González, won a contract worth €74,766.35 (plus IGIC tax) from Turismo de Lanzarote to promote the island. Primarily targeting the Spanish market, which has traditionally been a major source of visitors due to proximity, Ávoris will also focus on Portugal, the third-largest international market for Lanzarote, which contributed over 317,000 visitors, or about 10%, in 2023.

✈ Volotea won the Asturias tourism promotion contest, securing operations from Asturias Airport to Alicante, Málaga, Sevilla, and Valencia, aiming for 660,000 seats across 17 itineraries. The four-year contract includes up to 110,000 seats annually with 6-7 weekly flights, enhancing the region's connectivity. Now reaching 18 destinations from Asturias Airport, the airline adds to its current routes including Barcelona, Castellón, and various Canary Islands, plus international destinations like Milan and Lisbon. Reservations for the new destinations are available on Volotea's website.

✈ Iberia launches a sales campaign for summer season, offering discounts until September 23, for flights up to June 2025. Domestic flights within Spain start at €23, and European capitals like Paris, London, Rome, and Lisbon from €28. North American destinations such as New York, Miami, and Los Angeles begin at €184, while Latin American cities like San Juan, Bogotá, and Rio de Janeiro are available from €242. Asian destinations Doha and Tokyo are also included, with flights starting at €358 and €366, respectively. The promotion extends to bundled offers, with roundtrip London flights plus 2 hotel nights from €159, New York flight and 3 hotel nights from €569, and Milan flight with 3-day car rental from €99.

🛫 Ryanair criticized air traffic control at Palma de Mallorca Airport for blocking landings despite no weather issues. In response, José Antonio Santano, State Secretary of Transport and President of Enaire, emphasized safety as the top priority in decisions made since the previous day. Measures included additional air traffic controllers, ad hoc meetings with Aemet for accurate weather forecasts, coordination with Eurocontrol, and continuous monitoring to minimize airlines' delays while ensuring safety.

🛫 Iberia Express hit record highs in July with approximately 1,600 flights and 300,000 passengers in the Canary Islands, and nearly 1,000 flights with 175,000 passengers in the Balearic Islands. Iberia Express aims to continue breaking records throughout the summer season, offering around 5.2 million seats, an 8% increase from 2023 and 19% more than in 2019.
