El PP pide un cambio legal contra las reseñas falsas en la hostelería

  • Hosteltur
  • 7 May 2025
📝 The Grupo Parlamentario Popular, led by Senator Agustín Almodóbar, aims to end anonymity in online consumer reviews by mandating identity verification and proof of purchase or service usage. They propose a motion to the Senate's Industry and Tourism Committee, urging the government to enforce the legal change, which includes banning fake or manipulated reviews on paid service platforms. Businesses, particularly in tourism and hospitality, suffer from negative impacts due to fraudulent reviews, with false negative comments potentially costing a restaurant 30% of its bookings in a week. The legislative reform would require verification systems, create a user complaint and review mechanism, and implement penalties for fraudulent accounts, as well as external audits of platforms.

  • Miguel Praga
  • 7 May 2025

They aim to present offers for all three lots of the senior tourism program by the deadline on May 19. Competitors include Ávoris, Travel Live (Nautalia), and Seniorplan, forming a Temporary Union of Companies (UTE) called Senior Live. For the upcoming contest post-May 19, lots 1 and 2 (coastal and islands) can't be won by the same bidder. The Imserso has also increased potential penalties for errors or irregularities to up to €80 million.

Baleares toca fondo y el plan es repudiar al hotelero

  • Redaccion Preferente
  • 6 May 2025
🏕 In Baleares, political options follow a destructive growth model criticized in opposition yet adopted in power. The government defends regulated, quality vacation rentals that provide extra income for families, despite contributing to local exodus due to housing unaffordability. This supports a low-value-added model and disregards resident needs for the tourism market. Legalizing 90,000 vacation rental spots is opposed by unions and travel agencies, signaling a historical decline in the archipelago's essence.

Vox se corresponsabiliza del día más negro de Baleares que firma el PP

  • Redaccion Preferente
  • 5 May 2025
🏖️ Baleares faces a grim day as the regional parliament validates a decree law, implicating both Vox and PP in a housing crisis that shifts homes from residents to tourists. PSIB, Més, and Podemos, formerly proponents of this model, now oppose it. The ten-year loss of nearly 20% of housing stock for local accommodation leads to overcrowding and adversely affects local identity. The decree regularizes around 90,000 out of 500,000 residential places, marking a dark chapter in Baleares' history by prioritizing mass tourism over residents' welfare.

This stance reflects an ideological shift due to tourism saturation in the Balearics.

¿Qué es el modelo 131 y para qué sirve?

  • Samuel Cristobal
  • 5 May 2025
💸 Published on May 5, 2025, Zucchetti Spain offers insight into AEAT's tax model 131 for autonomous individuals under the objective estimation regime, with income caps at 250,000 euros. Model 131, differing from model 130 for direct estimation, allows quarterly IRPF payments preventing a lump sum at year-end. Key deadlines for submission include April 1-20 (Q1), July 1-20 (Q2), October 1-20 (Q3), and January 1-30 (Q4). Filing is done online using Cl@ve or digital certificates, and errors can be avoided using specialized fiscal management software.

  • 3 May 2025
🏙 Liverpool, starting June, will impose a £2 (€2.40) tourist tax per overnight stay. The decision was made by the 83 city hotels, represented by Liverpool BID Company. The tax is expected to generate £9.2 million (€10.78 million) over two years, with £6.7 million (€7.85 million) funding a grant for the city’s tourism economy. The measure follows similar initiatives in Manchester and Edinburgh, aiming to boost the local economy and tourism.
