Gasta 250 mil pero vuela por 21 millones de dólares

  • Miguel Praga
  • 26 octubre 2024
🚀 Steven Rothstein, at age 21, purchased an unlimited first-class travel AAirpass from American Airlines for $250,000 in the early 1980s, with an additional $150,000 for companion tickets. Over 21 years, Rothstein's travels amounted to 10,000 flights and $21 million in costs to the airline, covering 30 million miles. In 1994, with 28 of the original 60 AAirpass holders still using it, American Airlines canceled the program. Rothstein was sued after American revoked his pass in 2008, leading to an undisclosed settlement due to allegations of booking flights under fake names.

Llamamiento de Putin para que otros países hagan vuelos dentro de Rusia

  • Miguel Praga
  • 25 octubre 2024
🚀 Western sanctions on Russian aviation prevent flights to Europe or the US and access to aircraft and spare parts, significantly affecting Russia's domestic flight offerings. The Russian aerospace industry cannot meet the existing demand for new aircraft. Russia invites airlines from friendly nations to operate within its territory, with offers extended to Kazakhstan and other countries. Kazakhstan's Air Astana, owned by British aerospace firm BAE, adheres to the embargo and has ceased flights to Russia. Kazakh airline Scat is taking advantage of the situation by increasing flights in Russia despite having a small fleet.

Descubre el terror de hospedarte en un hotel embrujado

  • Ivanova Serrano
  • 25 octubre 2024
🎃 On October 31st, thrill-seekers aim for a paranormal experience to celebrate Halloween. They may stay in haunted hotels like the 14th-century Airth Castle Hotel near Glasgow, with 125 rooms, where ghostly children's cries are heard, or the Stanley Hotel, Colorado, an inspiration for Stephen King's 'The Shining', with unexplained phenomena since 1911. The Parador de Cardona in Spain offers room 712 to brave guests, haunted by a lovesick spirit. Karosta Prison Hostel in Latvia, a former military prison, and the Parador de Jaén with its 18th-century fortress and ghostly cries are also notable. In Toledo, La Quinta de Melque offers a theatrical terror night. The Langham Hotel in London, established in 1865, is known for multiple specters, including a murderous Victorian doctor and Napoleon III. These locations intrigue many visitors each Halloween season.

🎄 Christmas market trips are a tradition in the weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year's. Tour operators offer an increasing number of specific programs due to high demand. Most itineraries capitalize on the long weekend during the Constitution and Immaculate Conception holidays, which, despite falling on a Friday and Sunday this year, extend to a four-day break in several regions. These trips, lasting on average 4-5 days, take travelers to festive markets across central European cities, with options for river cruises stopping at markets. Key destinations include Germany, Holland, Belgium, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the Baltic States, Italy, and the UK. Operators like Special Tours, Catai, Mundosenior, Azulmarino, Viajes El Corte Inglés, Nautalia Viajes, and Viajes Carrefour provide a variety of itineraries, with some trips extending up to eight days.

Piratas disfrazados de gente seria

  • Miguel Praga
  • 18 octubre 2024
🛫 A traveler from South America to Europe faced an over eight-hour flight delay due to technical issues. The airline offered accommodation due to the overnight delay. The passenger was later informed he was entitled to a 600-euro compensation, only to be denied it later on because the airline provided hotel and transportation services. The situation underscores the complex cost considerations airlines face with customer compensations and the need for potential policy adjustments by IATA and A4E.

¿La quiebra de Boeing?

  • Miguel Praga
  • 16 octubre 2024
🚀 Tim Clark, President of Emirates, suggested the potential bankruptcy of Boeing, the leading U.S. airplane manufacturer, considering their financial troubles. Boeing is experiencing the worst time in its history due to self-inflicted issues, including two 737 crashes, a failed Embraer acquisition, protective measures against Delta's Bombardier purchases, and endless certification problems. Now, an indefinite staff strike adds to their woes, making bankruptcy a probable outcome. If bankruptcy occurs, Boeing may seek Chapter 11 protection to reorganize financially.
