El modelo de Airbnb se desboca aún más en España
🏡 In Spain, the vacation rental sector skyrocketed in 2024, with international travelers staying in holiday homes increasing by 27.3% over the first seven months, reaching 6.6 million compared to the previous year's 5.2 million, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE). In contrast, hotel growth was more modest at 9.5%. Tourists in hotels spend an average of €257 per day, while those in holiday homes spend €153. The unchecked spread of this accommodation type, despite local government restrictions, raises concerns about its impact on residents' well-being and the economy.
