He highlighted the evolution of loyalty programs, beginning with Holiday Inn's point club in 1972 and Marriott's Frequent Traveller program, now Bonvoy. Sánchez outlined six loyalty models: privilege programs, member discounts, membership levels, accumulated wallet, in-stay redeemable points, and customized programs. He emphasized the need for clear objectives, technological support, and operational impact assessment, suggesting starting simple and avoiding overcomplication.
