Jornada caótica en la aviación de Italia por paros y un incendio
🛫 Italian tourism newspapers publish a monthly calendar of transport strikes affecting trains, coaches, urban buses, controllers, pilots, ground staff, and other aviation workers. Strikes are usually not catastrophic, with short durations and the country continuing to function. On Wednesday, strikes involved ground staff at Malpensa, Fiumicino, Naples, Catania, and Venice airports. Additionally, a fire at Ciampino's control tower in Rome, evacuated and suspending flights, worsened the situation. Ryanair is the main operator at Ciampino. Milan and Lombardy trains stopped for 24 hours. Baggage handlers' mobilization significantly impacted Wizz Air, Easyjet, and Ryanair, with ITA advising travelers of potential flight stoppages.
