💸 Airbnb reported $11.102 billion in revenue for 2024, a 12% increase from the previous year. Net profit was $2.648 billion. During 2024, 491 million overnight stays and activities were booked on the platform. Airbnb aims to diversify by acquiring new businesses and expanding beyond vacation rentals. Key financials for 2024 included: a 12% revenue growth, 24% profit margin, $4.041 billion adjusted EBITDA (+10.6%), and $4.5 billion net cash from operations. Despite a 44.7% drop in net profit due to increased employee compensation expenses, share repurchases, company expansion, acquisitions, and dividend payments, Airbnb's financial position remains strong. The company plans to spend up to $250 million on new business acquisitions in 2025.

🏨 Global hotel stays hit nearly 5,000 million in 2024, a 102 million increase from 2023. Madrid, along with London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, and Tokyo, attracts high hotel investment interest. In 2025, luxury assets and selective service sectors will be preferred in the hotel industry. Hotel platform acquisitions to prevail as global supply is set to grow only by 2%. India and Saudi Arabia are emerging as influential travel markets, with Saudi Arabia aiming for a 780% increase in tourists through projects like Diriyah Gate and NEOM.

🏠 The 5-star establishment located on Playa de Muro will now be known as Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca, part of Destination by Hyatt. Hyatt announced last year the asset would carry its brand, but the exact opening date and renovation details, including the name change, were not yet disclosed. The comprehensive transformation aims to offer an even more exclusive and comfortable experience. Notable improvements include an upgraded main restaurant with sea views, two terraces, and a more welcoming à la carte restaurant with a private terrace. Additionally, the lobby bar will be relocated near the reception with a large bar and terrace. Enhancements to the reception area feature improved lighting and optimized sea views. The hall has been fully redesigned with new furniture and finishes. Rooms and bathrooms will undergo a complete overhaul with new finishes, facilities, and exterior carpentry. Spa facilities will also be renovated with new treatment rooms. Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca is set to open in June.
