🏨 Meliá Hotels International inaugurated the ME Marbella on Thursday with over 400 guests, investing €20 million in Marbella. This adds to their investment of over €125 million in Málaga for five 5-star hotels within a year. The ME Marbella increased its workforce from 138 to around 250 employees. The hotel features 200 rooms, including 24 suites, with luxurious amenities and a focus on gastronomy and cultural experiences, in collaboration with Pont Hospitality.

🏨 El Palacio Haza de la Concepción, propiedad de la Diputación de Cáceres, inaugurado el 23 de julio de 2025, reabre como un hotel rural en la Reserva de la Biosfera de Monfragüe, tras una inversión superior a 4 millones de euros. Este hotel de 4 estrellas verdes cuenta con 14 habitaciones y el restaurante "Zagala", liderado por el chef Roberto Santos. La finca también promueve la conservación de razas de ganado en peligro y albergará viveros para la provincia.

🏨 Marriott integrará la cartera de CitizenM en sus sistemas para finales de 2023, permitiendo reservas en citizenM hasta entonces. Tras la integración, CitizenM se unirá al programa Marriott Bonvoy. Anthony Capuano, CEO de Marriott, destaca a CitizenM como una adición tecnológica e innovadora. Fundada en 2008, CitizenM ofrece alojamiento con tecnología avanzada, diseño inteligente y espacios colaborativos. Marriott busca ampliar el alcance global de CitizenM, alineándola con sus marcas lifestyle existentes.

🏨 Piñero y Hyatt abrirán su primer hotel conjunto en España en diciembre, transformando el Bahia Principe Sunlight Tenerife. El Bahia Principe Grand Tequila en México, con 360 habitaciones, ofrece gastronomía variada, cuatro bares, piscinas, spa y gimnasio. Los huéspedes tienen acceso exclusivo al campo de golf PGA Riviera Maya y eventos temáticos diarios. El resort incluye espacios para eventos con capacidad para 900 personas y privilegios de intercambio con propiedades cercanas.

🏨 Fergus Group expands in Palma through a management agreement with the García-Ruiz family, acquiring La Cala, Marivent, and Costa Palma hotels, opening in May 2027. An investment of €17 million will reposition these assets, adding 408 rooms to Cala Major. Fergus aims to exceed €200 million in revenue by 2025. These additions bring Fergus to 19 hotels in Mallorca and 34 in Spain, further supporting its strategic objective to rejuvenate tourism and diversify the region's offerings.

📈 Oscar Vega and Rafael Cebolla, leading Factoría Serendipia, plan to build the 5-star luxury hotel Puerto América near Puerto Deportivo de Cádiz, Punta de San Felipe. Following the Council of Ministers' amendment, they secured a 50-year administrative concession for 9,318 sqm. The project includes 120 rooms, a 300+ capacity auditorium, and €30 million investment, creating 150 jobs directly and 200 during construction, due for completion in three years. They aim to integrate with Cádiz's local dynamic, enhancing its appeal.

🏨 B&B Hotels has opened a new 176-room hotel in the Lordelo do Ouro e Massarelos neighborhood of Porto, Portugal. This marks their fourth hotel in Porto and eighteenth in Portugal. Operated under an asset-light model, it's their first hotel in Porto's city center. B&B Hotels currently has 77 locations across Spain and Portugal and aims for 95 by 2025. Jorge Zelada, CDO of B&B Hotels Spain & Portugal, emphasizes Portugal's strategic importance.

🏨 Checkin Hotel Group expands in 2025 with the DWO Rioja Wine Hotel, a 4-star venue in Cenicero featuring 38 rooms, buffet breakfast, and private parking. After debuting in the Region of Murcia with Bakour La Manga Splash, they launched a water park, marking it as the first in La Manga del Mar Menor. Earlier expansions include Bakour Punta Cana Suites in the Dominican Republic and a 4-star hotel on the Costa del Sol with over 300 rooms.

🏖 Port Alicante City & Beach, a 4-star superior hotel near Playa de San Juan, underwent a significant transformation to cater to modern travelers. Managed by Port Hotels, it features 206 rooms and versatile meeting spaces for up to 200 people. Boga Sky Lounge, the first rooftop in the area, offers Mediterranean-Asian cuisine and live music. The hotel emphasizes sustainability with initiatives like reducing plastic use and energy emissions, complementing its luxury and efficiency offerings.

🏨 Casual Hoteles, apenas mes y medio tras abrir su primer hotel en Grecia, proyecta su segundo hotel en Atenas, con 87 habitaciones y apertura en 2026. El hotel, ubicado a 150 metros de la Plaza Omonia, contará con un rooftop con vistas al Partenón. El 1 de junio, Casual inauguró el Casual Kubic Athens, su hotel más grande en Europa, con 112 habitaciones. La cadena busca expandirse en Grecia, España, Italia y Portugal, con un nuevo hotel en Nápoles previsto a fin de año.
