La economía de la personalización: una oportunidad de oro aún por explotar

Con un mercado de personalización hotelera generando cerca de 3.000 millones de dólares anuales, el sector podría octuplicar su facturación en esta área si iguala las cuotas de industrias adyacentes. Fermín Carmona, CEO de Hotelverse, señala la falta de personalización real en reservas y la fragmentación de la industria como barreras clave. Nuevas estrategias como add-ons personalizables, selección de número de habitación y venta de experiencias externas podrían incrementar la facturación hasta un 10%, 5% y 5% adicional respectivamente. Los sistemas de pujas dinámicas para el upselling prometen optimizar ingresos y la integración con PMS y motores de reserva facilita su implementación. El sector hotelero tiene el potencial de llegar a un 35% de ingresos por personalización.

Cincuenta años del hotel emblema del turismo en Altea

🏕 Hotel Cap Negret, founded in 1975 in Altea, celebrates its 50th anniversary as a tourism excellence reference on the Costa Blanca. The hotel, established by inexperienced friends, has become a family and social tourism landmark. Since the Alicante airport opened to international traffic in 1967, the region has transformed economically. The hotel underwent a major refurbishment in 2020 and shifted towards international sports tourism, notably cycling, with its Bike Zone, since 2015. An anniversary event was held on April 11, attended by tourism representatives, local authorities, and founders' families.

Ashotel cifra en el 10% el seguimiento de la huelga en Tenerife

🏨 Ashotel, the hotel association in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, reported about 10% participation in the tourism strike, compared to the 70% claimed by unions. The strike, surveyed among over a hundred member hotels, saw 11% in Tenerife, 1% in La Palma, 9% on April 17, and 6% on April 18 in La Gomera. In Tenerife, the south had 11% on Thursday and 10% on Friday, the north 11% and 14%, and the metropolitan area 5% and 11%. Ashotel's manager expressed willingness to negotiate despite withdrawing the previous offer, which included a 6% wage increase and other benefits. No date is set for new negotiations.

The ferry passenger traffic between Barcelona and the Balearic Islands increased from 852,000 in 2019 to 1.223 million in 2024.

The Loft House crece y abre en Sevilla, su tercer destino

🏗️ The Loft House Group opened The Loft House Sevilla, their third premium hostel and first in Andalusia, located on Sierpes Street, Sevilla. With a capacity of 70 beds across 11 private, mixed, and female rooms, it features a specialty coffee bar, local pastries, coworking space with mute labs, and a fully equipped kitchen. The Sevilla hostel opened on April 7. The expansion plan includes new hostels in the Basque Country and the Valencian Community.
