🌅 Sunset Hospitality Group received an additional €25 million investment from Goldman Sachs Asset Management to expedite growth and expand into key cities across Europe and Asia under the METT Hotels & Resorts brand. Aiming for 20 hotels in management or operation by 2026, the investment strengthens strategic hotel and resort projects in Barcelona, Milan, Sitges, and Singapore. In Spain, the chain has opened a hotel in Marbella and will inaugurate METT Barcelona this summer through Atom Hoteles. A boutique hotel offering in Sitges will debut by the end of this year.

Toledo's hotel occupancy hit 87.6%, Madrid saw positive tourism figures despite rain, and Dinópolis theme park recorded a 30.5% visitor increase. Lleida reported 85,000 tourists with 260,000 overnight stays, while Galicia had a mixed performance with an average occupancy near 58%, and Cantabria reached a 75% occupancy rate, with a noted shift towards illegal tourist housing impacting traditional hospitality revenues.

📅 The Imserso travel program for the 2025-2026 season offers 879,213 spots with varied pricing: a flat rate of 50 euros for the lowest incomes and prices ranging from 132.91 euros for 4-day trips to provincial capitals to 464.72 euros for 10-day stays with transport in the Canary Islands. Lote 1 has 440,284 places with 3,530 at the flat rate; Lote 2 offers 228,142 spots, 1,835 at the flat rate. Prices for 10-day stays in Andalusia, Murcia, Catalonia, and Valencia are 309.22 euros with transport and 270.39 euros without. The Imserso tender was published on April 17, with a competitive bidding phase among major tourism groups, but the late start during Easter may delay the first trips until after September 2025.
