Los destinos de sol y playa, ante el reto de afrontar su transformación

🌍 En Madrid, el 2023, Juan Cierco, del Consejo de Turismo de la CEOE, y Javier Vich, de la FEHM, llamaron a transformar el turismo de sol y playa en España. Toni Pérez destacó que 8 municipios aportan el 4% del PIB turístico con solo el 0.9% de la población. Rosario Sánchez Grau enfatizó la importancia de la desestacionalización. Vich instó a una acción política coordinada. Se han invertido 3,500 millones en modernizar hoteles baleares.

Iryo refuerza su apuesta internacional con nuevos destinos en Portugal

🚄 Iryo, owned by Grupo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Air Nostrum, and Globalvia, is enhancing its multimodal offerings with new international routes and a train + hotel product via Destinia. The company now reaches 11 destinations, including Costa de Granada and Costa Dorada, and expands in Portugal with Albufeira and Lagos. Iryo operates over 800 combined routes, offering more than 3,000 hotels. Since November 2022, they've served over 17 million passengers, holding a 25% market share in high-speed rail.

Easyhotel inaugura 94 habitaciones en Madrid con miras a comprar carteras

Ilunion abre su primer hotel en Mallorca y el segundo en Baleares

📈 David García Blancas, nuevo CEO de B&B Hotels Iberia, asumió el cargo en 2025. Con 25 años de experiencia en aviación y hostelería, fue antes Director General de PortAventura desde 2019. B&B Hotels posee más de 900 hoteles en 17 países, y cerró 2024 con 15 nuevas aperturas en Iberia, sumando 57 hoteles en España. Enrique Francia seguirá como Presidente durante la transición. Blanca se une con la misión de expandir la compañía en Iberia.

Los sindicatos rechazan el aumento salarial del 13,5% de Ashotel y Aero

Imserso: Ávoris, W2M y Mundiplan activan la maquinaria de los viajes

Viajar para ver o hacer deporte, una tendencia al alza en España

🏀 Un estudio de Hyatt Hotels Corporation revela que el 31% de los españoles considera viajar a eventos deportivos un placer, con un 35% planeando vacaciones en torno a ellos. En los próximos 12 meses, se prevé una participación en casi 6 eventos deportivos, un aumento del 18%. Fútbol lidera con un 47%, seguido por running (23%) y ciclismo (17%). Un 52% viaja con amigos, y la cercanía a eventos es prioritaria para el 52% de los encuestados.
