🏖️
España has progressed in reducing tourism seasonality over the past 30 years, now closer to the EU average, with peak months (July and August) decreasing from 30.5% to 28.2% of annual overnight stays. In 2023, these months accounted for 28.2% of tourist overnight stays, compared to 56.2% in Croatia and 41.4% in Greece. In December 2024, predictions indicated 95 million foreign tourists to Spain, highlighting a shift towards off-season travel, with over 25% of travelers motivated by a mix of leisure and work or cultural experiences. Additionally, 28% of hotels in key Spanish coastal destinations are managed by chains, with 15% by international brands, which helps attract off-season visitors.
