🏕 Extremadura to be featured at the 45th International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur), set for January 22-26 in Madrid, highlighting sustainable tourism under the motto "Extremadura extraordinaria: un destino para el mundo." After a record-breaking year in tourism with significant increases in travelers, overnight stays, and employment, the region promotes its natural and cultural refuge. It boasts three World Heritage Sites, three Biosphere Reserves, nine Blue Flag inland beaches, and 1,500 km of freshwater, making it ideal for birdwatching, astronomy, and water activities. FiturNext will award Extremadura for its Sustainable Gastronomic Routes, and the Directorate-General for Tourism will receive the third prize in the Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality (SICTED). The stand at Ifema will occupy 980 sqm, offering immersive experiences and tastings of local products. Extremadura will also participate in Fitur Woman on January 22 and unveil the Regional Strategy for Internal Tourism to encourage local travel.

🏕 Sevilla will showcase its cultural, heritage, and natural wealth at Fitur 2025, held at IFEMA, Madrid, from January 22-26, under the slogan "Busques lo que busques... Sevilla" to promote sustainable tourism. Javier Fernández and Rodrigo Rodríguez Hans presented the province's diverse tourism strategy, including luxury options like oleotourism and enotourism, aiming to attract premium tourists. Activities start with a promotional event in Madrid on January 21 at Green Patio. Almost 50 municipalities and over 10 companies will make around 60 presentations at IFEMA. Tourism statistics from January to November 2024 showed a 9.10% increase in travelers (over 753,000) and a 12.25% rise in overnight stays compared to the same period in 2023, with international tourism leading the growth.

🎭 During Fitur 2025 in Madrid, 83% of 153,000 professional visitors are expected to partake in 232,900 night outings, spending an average of €79.1 per outing, generating an economic impact of €18.4 million. "Fiesta is Madrid" campaign offers 100 entertainment options, celebrating its 11th year, with support from Madrid's local government.
