Roma se plantea cobrar 1 € a los turistas que visiten la Fontana de Trevi
🏡 Rome's tourism councilor Alessandro Onorato proposes a symbolic fee of one euro for tourists visiting the Trevi Fountain to reduce crowding and limit short-term rentals, which have risen from 17,000 in 2018 to over 30,000. Rome led European city tourism with 50 million visitors in 2023. The council seeks more autonomy from the central government to regulate accommodations and preserve heritage.
