🏨 Ilunion Hotels joins the B Corp movement, showcasing a business model centered on sustainability and social impact. With over 60% of their staff comprised of individuals with disabilities or in vulnerable situations, the hotel chain passed the rigorous B Impact Assessment with a score of 140.1, well above the minimum requirement of 80 points. Out of 31 hotels in Spain, 15 are Special Employment Centers, employing teams with over 70% disability rates. Being part of the B Corp community aligns with Ilunion's commitment to inclusive, responsible, and sustainable tourism, supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.

TUI Hotels crece en Asia: primer hotel en Camboya y nueva marca en China

🏕 TUI Group has opened its first hotel in Cambodia, the 189-room TUI Blue Sihanoukville, and launched the TUI Suneo brand in China with the TUI Suneo Shenzhen Manwan, featuring 215 rooms. TUI Hotels & Resorts, led by Artur Gerber, plans to open 26 new hotels across Asia in the coming years, with developments in Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Maldives, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Real I.S.'s acquisition was financed by Deutsche Hypo - NORD/LB Real Estate Finance with advisory from Linklaters Madrid, Noerr Munich, BDO Madrid, Arcadis Madrid, and Savills. Union Investment received legal and fiscal advice from Pérez-Llorca Madrid and Colliers Spain for intermediation.

BWH Hotels negocia una alianza para crecer en España

🏨 BWH Hotels aims to expand up to 40 hotels in Spain and Portugal within four years and is exploring a direct management model in Saudi Arabia. In an interview with HOSTELTUR, sales director EMEA Carolina Justribo highlights Spain's importance as a destination and source market. In 2024, Spain's hotel occupancy hit 82% with an ADR of €170, a 20% increase from the previous year. Luxury brands like WorldHotels reached an ADR of €370. Spanish clients contributed €40 million in revenue, a 24% growth. Direct online bookings grew by around 20%, corporate bookings by 37%, and leisure client business by 18%. BWH plans for 30 potential hotel projects, with 75% from small and medium chains and 25% independent hotels. The focus is on soft brand hotels (90%) and, to a lesser extent, hard brand (10%) with strategic areas including Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Sevilla, San Sebastián, Valencia, Alicante, and Málaga. They have 230 people worldwide to help attract international guests. They're also in talks for strategic alliances with local chains and considering management contracts in Saudi Arabia, with 14 projects in the pipeline, following a franchising tradition of nearly 75 years.
