La facturación de TUI supera los 8.576 M € en el primer semestre

🏢 TUI Group, a German tour operator, reported revenue of €8.576,6 million in the first six months of the fiscal year starting in October, a 7.8% increase from the previous year. The company experienced a loss of €391.5 million, which was 6.1% less than the year before, attributed to improvements in hotels and cruises. Fewer people traveled with TUI from January to March compared to last year, totaling 2.6 million versus 2.8 million, influenced by the later Easter holidays in 2025. Summer bookings decreased by 1%, while prices rose by 4%. TUI shares fell nearly 11% to €6.79. TUI anticipates a 5-10% revenue increase in 2025 (€23.200 million in 2024) and a 7-10% rise in operating profit before special items (€1.300 million in 2024).

Cuba: la ocupación hotelera cae al 24% en el primer trimestre

🌍 Cuba faced a 50% reduction in tourists in 2024 compared to 2019. In the first quarter of 2025, during high season but without Easter, Cuba welcomed 571,772 international tourists, 237,169 fewer than the previous year, translating to a 24% hotel occupancy. Overnight stays hit 3.601.870, down from 5.040.451 in 2024. Main tourist sources were Canada (272,274 travelers), Cuban expatriates (59,896), and the United States (39,447). Spain ranked ninth with 9,827 travelers, a 30% decrease from 2024. Amidst these challenges, Cuba plans structural reforms to boost tourism.

HBX Group logra unos ingresos de 319 M€, un 10% más, en el primer semestre

💰 HBX Group's fiscal semester ended on March 31 with €319 million in revenue, a 10% increase, driven by double-digit growth in trips to Europe and MEAPAC. Adjusted EBITDA grew 14% to €159 million. Total transaction volume (TTV) rose by 12% reaching €3.4 billion. Despite its growth, the Palma de Mallorca-based company reported losses of €227 million, up 86% from the previous year's €122 million loss, mainly due to over €180 million in non-recurring costs related to its stock market launch on February 14. Additionally, HBX raised €725 million through its stock market debut to reduce debt. For the full year of 2025, HBX projects revenues between €740 and €790 million, with an adjusted EBITDA of €430 to €450 million.

The Imserso's contribution will average 21.57%. 7,447 spots will cost €50 for users with lower income, and hotels in the program must have at least three stars.

Expedia supera sus previsiones pese a la caída de la demanda en EEUU

Gaiarooms prevé invertir casi 100 M € en crear una red de hoteles digitales

Gaiarooms also launched Gaiastays, a coliving and temporary rental division, intending to reach 1,500 units by 2027, focusing on Madrid and Barcelona.

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts rounds out the top five, holding 21,601 international rooms, stabilizing post-2018 decrease from a peak of 31,186.
