🏡 Portugal recorded over 77 million overnight stays in 2023, a 10% increase from 2019. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) reached €64.8, a 31% rise compared to 2019, and continued to grow by 7% up to July 2024. Despite occupancy challenges due to increased supply, hotel investment momentum in Portugal surpassed €550 million in the first half of the year, with a forecasted 10% room capacity increase (about 10,000 rooms) in the next four years, driven by international brands. In 2022, Portugal generated nearly 35% of its energy from green sources.
