Madrid: luz verde al plan que prohíbe que turistas y vecinos compartan edificio
🏡 Madrid's City Council approved the Plan Reside, set to begin in August 2025, prohibiting tourist apartments in residential buildings. This initiative modifies the Urban Planning to regulate tourism without harming locals' quality of life. Tourist apartments are banned in residential blocks, including lower floors, and commercial spaces in the historic center can't become tourist homes. With 59 allegations, the plan includes fines up to €100,001 for unlicensed operators. Presently, only 7.45% of 16,100 tourist apartments are licensed.
