🏨 Fede Fuster, president of Hosbec, was the sole candidate to lead the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH) and began his presidency at the 2025 Annual Electoral Assembly. 📈 David García Blancas, nuevo CEO de B&B Hotels Iberia, asumió el cargo en 2025. Con 25 años de experiencia en aviación y hostelería, fue antes Director General de PortAventura desde 2019. B&B Hotels posee más de 900 hoteles en 17 países, y cerró 2024 con 15 nuevas aperturas en Iberia, sumando 57 hoteles en España. Enrique Francia seguirá como Presidente durante la transición. Blanca se une con la misión de expandir la compañía en Iberia.

🏨 Jaume Bauzá Andreu, founder of Protur Hotels in 1985 with 18 hotels, passed away at 79 in Son Servera. His hotels are in Mallorca and Roquetas de Mar, Almería. Protur is one of Mallorca's largest hotel owners. Jaume started as a waiter and grew his business to include a developer, a construction company, and car rentals. His daughter, Sara Bauzá, is a key heir. Protur owns a hotel in Palma, near the National Police headquarters.

🏨 On June 17, 2025, at the ITH Innovation Summit in Madrid, Fede Fuster will officially become the president of the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero, succeeding Javier García Cuenca after four years. Fuster is the current president of HOSBEC since December 2022, leading it to become Spain's second-largest hotel association with 115,000 places and 374 affiliates. ✈️ Luis Gallego, CEO of IAG, has been appointed as the 83rd chair of IATA's board at the 81st Annual General Meeting in New Delhi, India. His one-year term follows Pieter Elbers of IndiGo. Gallego, an aerospace engineer with nearly 30 years in aviation, highlights challenges like environmental measures and supply chain issues. His background includes leadership roles at Iberia, Iberia Express, Vueling, and Air Nostrum. Willie Walsh, IATA's General Director, supports Gallego's leadership.

📖 Federico González Tejera, CEO of Radisson Hotel Group and Louvre Hotels Group, participated in the Hosteltur Forum 2025. 🏨 Javier Tausía, CEO of deluna Hotels, was appointed president of the Alianza Hotelera on May 20 in Pamplona. The Alianza consists of 16 hotel chains and over 150 establishments, ranking fifth in Spain's tourism sector. Tausía aims to enhance independent hotels' visibility and strengthen the Alianza's strategic positioning. The outgoing president, Jaime Monzón, praised Tausía's sector knowledge and strategic vision. 📈 En octubre de 2025, Toni Chaves asumirá la dirección general de Inverotel, tras el retiro de Ramón Rosselló, quien lideró durante 11 años. Inverotel, fundada en 2007, representa a grupos hoteleros españoles en el Caribe y América Latina, incluyendo gigantes como Iberostar y Riu. Inverotel ha invertido millonariamente en el Caribe, operando más de 70 hoteles en República Dominicana, más de 100 en México y 21 en Jamaica.
