💸 15,000 European hotels are launching a legal battle against Booking, with a deadline for participation ending on August 29. 💰 A Coruña will implement a tourist tax between €1 and €2.5 from Monday, September 29. Visitors will pay the tax, not hospitality establishments, to enhance public services. Five-star hotel guests pay €2.5 per night, while other accommodations have varying rates. Exemptions apply to minors, congress attendees, hospitalized individuals, and others. Cruise passengers are exempt until 2026. Establishments will use a digital platform for biannual payments, in July and January.
