🪲 KHAMA Hotel in Spain announces the implementation of Valpas, a Finnish technology for permanent bedbug protection without chemicals. Over 300 hotels globally have adopted Valpas. It features smart bed legs connected to a digital platform for real-time monitoring, reducing up to 1.4 tons of CO₂e per room annually, improving ESG standards, and protecting biodiversity. Valpas-certified hotels see up to 35% increase in direct bookings, with more than 40,000 beds and 400,000 incident-free stays. KHAMA Hotel leads the deployment in Spain, enhancing local hotels' online reputation, occupancy, and operational costs.

🏨 Hotel Bécquer in Sevilla concludes a comprehensive three-year, phased renovation, reaffirming itself as a landmark accommodation. Alejandro Rodríguez, the hotel's director general as well as president of AEDH in Andalucía, oversaw the project, with Liinea Studio and Giordano Baly at the helm. The redesign retains the hotel's essence while integrating modernity and sustainability. A strong commitment to local talent was made, allocating 25% of the budget to carpentry alone. The hotel, established in 1973 and housed in a 19th-century mansion, now offers five room categories with an emphasis on elegance, functionality, and sustainability, including energy-saving systems. New features include a coffee corner, Andalusian patio, pool with skyline views, and "El Poeta" eatery. A positive reception followed the reopening on April 11, enhancing the hotel's online reputation and legacy.
