Air Europa realiza el mayor ajuste de vuelos del continente

✈ Air Europa, in 2024, had 186 daily flights, 35% below pre-pandemic levels, but achieved a record €116 million profit. Vueling led Spanish airlines with 609 daily flights, up 1% from 2019, followed by Iberia with 400 flights, a 9% increase. Ryanair dominated with 3,044 daily flights, a 31% rise. Wizz Air saw the highest growth at 42%. Lufthansa, SAS, and Norwegian faced significant declines, with decreases of 23%, 25%, and 31%, respectively.

Fracasa el intento de evitar la huelga del control francés

🛩 Este viernes, en Francia, una reunión de conciliación entre la dirección de la Aviación Civil y los convocantes de la huelga de controladores del 3 y 4 de julio terminó sin acuerdo. El conflicto se agrava con más sindicatos sumándose al paro. La Aviación Civil admite falta de controladores y propone el plan “Horizonte 2030.” La huelga coincide con el inicio de las vacaciones escolares, afectando el tráfico aéreo, incluso sobrevuelos de otros países.

JetBlue, al borde de la quiebra, deja Miami, su mercado clave

🛩️ JetBlue, after 25 years in aviation, is facing challenges. Since September, it exited Miami, a key market, due to over $250 million in losses over six months. Each month saw worsening results. A major setback was the failed $3.8 billion merger with Spirit. JetBlue had been operating 14 flights since 2021 from Miami, connecting cities like New York and Boston. Now, passengers are advised to accept refunds or find alternative tickets.

Un Airbus A320 sufre un fallo de presurización tras partir de Palma

✈ Un Airbus A320 de Bulgaria Air, operando para Condor, experimentó un posible fallo de presurización el 8 de junio de 2025. Tras despegar de Palma, el avión se dirigía a Stuttgart, pero dio la vuelta sobre el norte de Menorca. La tripulación descendió de inmediato antes de regresar a Mallorca, donde aterrizó sin incidentes con servicios de emergencia en espera.

Hacienda mantiene vivas a Spanair y Pullmantur

💸 Spanair, which went bankrupt in 2012 and was backed by the Generalitat of Catalonia, and Pullmantur, a cruise company dissolved before the pandemic, both owe significant amounts to Spain's Agencia Tributaria. Despite their closure, both companies appear on the latest list of debtors. Spanair's presence on the list was highlighted in a Catalan media report, which is surprising given it ceased operations over a decade ago.

Booking rechaza haber inflado los precios hoteleros

💸 Dutch consumers and hoteliers are suing Booking for allegedly keeping hotel prices artificially high for over a decade. The Consumentenbond and the Competition Complaints Foundation accuse Booking of misleading agreements to prevent hotels from offering lower prices elsewhere. Easyjet: amenazan con una huelga indefinida en agosto en España

Ávoris ficha a un directivo de VECI con la vista puesta en el Imserso
