El Chirri, ex yerno de Hidalgo, fue un crack de Air Europa

✈️ Tomás Cano announced on Tuesday the passing of Carlos Torres, affectionately known as “El Chirri,” a beloved Spanish commercial aviation pilot, at Air Europa. Torres was highly respected for his professionalism and charm. He joined Air Europa early in its history, under Grupo ILG. Torres married María José Hidalgo in Salamanca after meeting her four years post-Air Europa's founding. He retired without incidents and later pursued politics. His vibrant personality will be fondly remembered.

Ryanair: 21 millones de pasajeros en agosto

Fallece uno de los impulsores de Air Europa

✈️ Carlos Torres, co-founder of Air Europa, passed away after dedicating his life to aviation. In the 1980s, he was pivotal alongside Tomás Cano in launching the airline. Torres helped with hiring and training pilots for Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 757-200. Air Europa began operations in 1986, launched by six young entrepreneurs under the British ILG, before later coming under Juan José Hidalgo following ILG's collapse.

Ávoris suma otro fichaje de Traveltool tras la llegada de Frau

Top airlines were American Airlines, Delta, Southwest, Ryanair, and China Southern. The busiest route was from Seoul to Jeju, followed by Haneda to Fukuoka. In 2020, the busiest day was January 3rd, and in 2021, December 17th, both years affected by COVID-19.

Iberia Express se suma a la guerra de precios

✈️ Iberia Express has launched its largest price campaign targeting late 2025 and early 2026.
