✈️ Iberia, as of 2025, has added its seventh Airbus A321XLR to its fleet, with the eighth expected in 2026. The aircraft, registered as EC-ORE, was acquired from Toulouse and stationed in Madrid. This model enhances transatlantic routes such as Boston, Washington, and Puerto Rico, and opens new routes to Recife, Fortaleza, and Toronto. The A321XLR offers 182 seats across business and economy classes, achieving up to 40% fuel savings compared to wide-body aircraft.

The airline's profitability has been rising, with past profits of €207,952 in 2021, €3 million in 2022, and over €8 million in 2023. In contrast, Iberojet ended 2024 with a €692,000 profit, its first since the pandemic. Despite improvements, Iberojet grapples with a €61.8 million net asset deficit.

🛫 Emirates plans 14 daily flights between London and Dubai by winter 2026, with Gatwick hosting three daily A380 flights, each seating 516 passengers. The expansion follows Air Arabia's April 2026 launch of two daily Sharjah-Gatwick flights. Combined with Etihad, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic, over 20 daily flights will connect the Gulf and London. Despite this, the London-New York route remains busier, with 30 daily flights primarily from Heathrow.
