✈ Avelo, a small U.S. airline with 22 Boeing 737s, has committed to buying 100 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft—50 firm orders and 50 optional. The deal could total $4.4 billion before discounts. Deliveries are expected by early 2027. The E195-E2 seats 120-146 passengers and suits Avelo's low-demand routes on the East Coast and selected destinations in Oregon and Washington. Avelo will be the only U.S. airline operating Embraer, following JetBlue's retirement of older models.

Two Airbus A350 aircraft, each with 432 seats, were grounded for almost a month due to spare parts shortages. How? Flights were canceled, and ACMI-leased aircraft were used. Why? To maintain operations amid high demand. The issue is now resolved with all eight aircraft, including five A330s and one A320, back in service.

✈ Six years ago, Boeing faced issues with the B737Max due to two accidents: Lion Air (2018) and Ethiopian Airlines (2019). Deliveries, particularly to China, were halted. In Moses Lake, Washington, Boeing stored planes awaiting resolution. Recently, the B737-8, serial 7,813, first flown in November 2019, was finally delivered to Air China in Beijing with registration B-20DJ. It had a test flight on August 12, prior to the handover.
