Universal abrirá su primer parque temático europeo en Londres

🎭 Universal to open its first theme park in Europe near London in Bedford, 80 kilometers from the English capital. Trenitalia operará la ruta del Canal de la Mancha

Iberia vuela por primera vez a Washington con el A321XLR

✈ Iberia resumes flights to Washington DC on Saturday, April 12, with the Airbus A321XLR and currently has three units. The airline will increase from four weekly flights in 2024 to six weekly flights from April to August and daily connections in September and October. The inaugural flight departs from Barajas on April 12 at 11:50 AM, arriving at 3:00 PM. Washington DC is the second long-haul destination for the A321XL after Boston, and Iberia now operates direct flights to eight US cities. In the summer season, the airline schedules 140 weekly flights between the two countries, a 14% increase from the previous year, offering 1.1 million seats.

Handling de Ryanair: firmado el primer convenio colectivo

Caso Begoña-Air Europa: la Fiscalía pone trabas a la UCO

🔋 La Guardia Civil ha investigado a Begoña Gómez y su conexión con Javier Hidalgo y el rescate de Air Europa, solicitado por el juez del Tribunal Supremo Leopoldo Puente. La Fiscalía intenta detener otro informe sobre el caso, a pesar de que la Audiencia de Madrid cerró la investigación. Los Hidalgo habrían pagado 9.800 euros por una estancia vacacional de José Luis Ábalos, exministro de Transportes, del 12 al 23 de agosto de 2020, durante la aprobación del rescate de la aerolínea.

Escarrer: “La tasa turística es ineficaz y no ataca la saturación”

🗑️ The Balearic Government's plan to raise the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS) between 66% and 200% during peak tourist season was halted due to lack of support in the Parliament. Gabriel Escarrer, CEO of Meliá Hotels International, criticized the measure in an interview with Preferente, highlighting the ineffectiveness of the ecotax in combating tourist overcrowding. He cited a +29.6% increase in tourist housing in Spain during 2024 and that 89% of the pressure on beach destinations is due to resident population growth. Boeing casi empata con Airbus en nuevos aviones

🛫 Boeing, amid restructuring and U.S. government limitations on B737Max deliveries to 38 planes per month, delivered 130 aircraft in the first quarter of the year—just six fewer than Airbus's 136. Boeing also delivered 13 787 Dreamliners, seven 777s, and five 767s for non-passenger use, a significant improvement over the 83 aircraft delivered in the same period last year. Additionally, Boeing's military branch delivered 26 aircraft, up from 14 the previous year. Meanwhile, Airbus has not fully capitalized on Boeing's challenges nor enhanced its production capacity.
