Apollo pone a la venta el hotel Ocean House por 80 M €

💸 Apollo Global Management is selling the Ocean House in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, for around €80 million. Initially acquired in 2020 and franchised to Meliá Hotels International, the hotel was rebranded in February 2023. It features 370+ rooms, five pools, and event spaces. Apollo's Spanish hotel portfolio, including properties in Mallorca, Tenerife, and Ibiza, is valued at approximately €300 million, aligning with their asset rotation strategy.

Southwest exige la compra de un asiento extra a pasajeros de tallas grandes

🛩 Southwest Airlines will require passengers who cannot fit between seat armrests to purchase an extra seat starting January 27. If flights aren't full, the second ticket cost will be reimbursed. Previously, larger passengers could request a free extra seat at check-in. Now, pre-purchase is mandatory, and refunds are uncertain. If the extra seat isn't bought in advance and the flight is full, a new flight will be assigned. Refund requests must be made within 90 days.

El 'hotel de los toreros' vende sus muebles a precio de saldo

Los incendios no frenan las reservas hoteleras en España

🛰 En España, del 18 al 24 de agosto, las reservas hoteleras aumentaron a pesar de los incendios. Galicia y Castilla y León vieron crecimientos del 6,2% y 14,6% respectivamente. Otras regiones como Madrid (+25,3%), Euskadi (+45,5%) y Andalucía (+19,1%) también reportaron incrementos. Cataluña, Baleares, Canarias, y Madrid no se vieron afectados por grandes incendios. Ningún turista extranjero resultó herido, reforzando la percepción de seguridad. Las reservas en turismo rural no se reflejan en estos datos.

La Comunidad Valenciana suma 12 nuevos municipios turísticos

🏖 En el primer semestre de 2025, la Generalitat Valenciana reconoció a 12 municipios como turísticos, elevando el total a 82 en la Comunidad Valenciana. Estos municipios pueden acceder a financiación extraordinaria para mejorar servicios turísticos. Las categorías otorgadas fueron: cinco de Singularidad, dos de Relevancia, y cinco de Excelencia. Las provincias con nuevos municipios son Castellón (5), Valencia (4) y Alicante (3). Este reconocimiento se basa en la población turística y la oferta de alojamiento.

Royal Caribbean premia a las agencias con 40€ extra por reserva

Bluesea Hotels crece en Canarias tras un acuerdo con O7 Hotels  

🏨 Bluesea Hotels, from September 1, 2023, manages the Bluesea Aloe Corralejo in Fuerteventura, in partnership with O7 Hotels. Located by the Dunas de Corralejo Natural Park, it offers 181 apartments suitable for families. The 3-key establishment features seven pools, a spa, two buffet restaurants, and more. Previously under Labranda Hotels & Resorts, O7 Hotels took over management in October 2023. Bluesea CEO Sebastiá Catalá highlighted this expansion in Fuerteventura.
